Close to Elephant Trunk Hill (just few minutes walk), some local restaurant, night market, local grocerie - This hotel is a in a great location next to the lakes and the night market. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Its like a boutique hotel and the rooms and layout are a nice change to the typical big hotel in china. They can do laundry for you at a good price which was great to have. Breakfast is good and at a fair price for a hotel, with a very nice view.

  I arrived late at night and the staff were very friendly and spoke good English. They gave me great tips and organised good activities for me, when I left I forgot to settle a food bill. Roy and Angel instead of asking me to come all the way back managed to let me pay at my next destination and they would charge that hotel. They really were lovely... what people say » people and the hostel is the best value for money deal I have had in China. - I only have good things to say about this place. The rooms are nice, the beds confortable, the staff is very helpful and friendly, the restaurant is convenient and the location is perfect. They even offer a cup of tea at the bar with a coupon, its a much better idea to taste a cup of local tea rather than some beer usually offered at many backpackers hostels.

  This is a lovely Japanese style garden hotel on the grounds of the Guilin Botanical Garden. The spacious rooms are located in a number of 2-story buildings scattered around a koi pond and gardens. We came here after several days touring the ethnic villages west of Guilin and it was a marvelous place to unwind and relax and feed the koi from our p... what people say » ond-side patio. While not close to the main Guilin tourist sites, you can reach most of them by a pleasant 30-40 minute walk or by a short taxi ride. - This is probably the best hotel in Guilin: good services, fresh air, green location inside a botanic garden, a perfect zen garden with a pool, lake and tea house - you will feel like an emperor! Other aspects: - good wifi; - diverse breakfast; - staff is ok with english; - free pickup from airport and free ride from the hotel to the exit of the botanic garden; note: that the hotel is not central but it's close to the bus and there is a mall just outside of the garden

  The hotel is located at the walking street in the center of the city. It is a very busy street, with lots of clubs open late at night. But we got a room that was not facing the street, so it was still nice and quiet in the evening. It is walking distance to most attractions, and the staff was really helpful.

  Excellent location close to many local shops and places to eat, very cheap price on this site didnt actually realise how much of a bargain till i saw the price in the hotel itself

  Staff may just speak a little English but they are all well meaning and kind. There was an obnoxious guy in the hotel he was either a guest or a friend of the owner or a manager and he had the staff running around doing things and you could tell they were all on edge.
