I picked the hotel because it was very close to the metro ( about 300 ft.) i walked down the really charming hutong (alley) that had many very nice shops and restaurants.The interior is excellent, bed very comfortable, and staff nice. It's like a countryside courtyard in the middle of modern city. Well represents the hutong culture of Beijing. Staff couldnt be more friendly, spoke fluent English. A fantastic experience in China u wouldn't like to miss.

Hotel I strongly recommend. A beautiful hotel with helpful, pleasant staff that served an American style breakfast , we would definitely recommend it to everyone, close to subway and three temples. Employees are very friendly and helpfull. Location of hotel is central and very close to subway. Decoration is very fantastic. Rooms are confortable. The location is very good - close to the underground train and to the temple. The rooms are nicely furnished and clean . Friendly staff and helpfull. The building is so nice and presents this "old Chinese style". It is located near by two subway stations and next to amazing Hutong streets. There are plenty of small places like restaurants, bars, etc. to enjoy your stay at Beijing. They did try to solve problems for us. The hotel is at a good location. Near to subway. - Short distance to underground. The style of the hotel. Shower head was not in fixed position to take a shower without hold the shower nozzle. There is not a refrigerator in rooms. When I was there , aircondition was out of order. The breakfast was a bit poor , no juice and every morning the same - just a toast, coffee, fruit and yoghurt. we booked a trip to the great wall at the hotel which was a good experience overall, but it would have been nice to know that you need proper equipment (shoes, a lot to drink) for this trip since it was mostly the "wild wall". Internet was a little shaky. nothing,,,,,. First of all - the staff. They don't speak English (they claimed that they do, but it's not true). It's difficult to talk to them. Only one speaks enough to get sufficient support. Secondly - breakfast is so bad and it is not worth this amount of money you pay (it's one sandwich, one banana, one tea/coffee, yoghurt and that's it! This breakfast was the worst thing at this hotel. For this money I paid I could a way better meal in other hotels in Europe. The room we booked was not ready by 10pm. I booked one room for us and one for my parents. We planned to have a family dinner before we flew out to Australia. However they put us in two separate hotels. We walked a block with the receptionist to get to the other hotel. It turned out they didn't receive their booking, so my parents had to stay at another hotel. By the time we sat down for our family dinner, it was over midnight. No phone in the room. No water provided. The price for the room did not respond its equipment - no slippers, no tea packages, no bottle of water - the standards of half priced hotels in Beijing. The rooms are old and craving for renovation, towels were with holes, stuff barely speaks English and refuses to help with taxi or directions. The cleanliness, choose the room. very small room, toilet and bedroom are open plan. No door between them, noisy and street light on ' no good curtain' to reduce light coming in the room especially at night time. Breakfast is of a terrible quality. - Staff - unpleasant staff - worst breakfasts I've ever had When we arrive to hotel, first what they did ... they charged my credit card ... after that they said that there was no room for me and my family !!!! After an hour; after an argument, they found room. Avoid this place !!!. The room was too small and hot. The bathroom was small and very dirty.
