The location is excellent, within walking distance to the Bellavista area nightlife and dining, and about a 15 minute walk to the metro. The neighborhood is safe and clean. We enjoyed our 4 day stay there.The apt. was comfortable and tidy, and the staff were very friendy and helpful. I wil stay there again the next time I visit Santiago. -

The staff were very helpful, patient with me when trying out my poor Spanish and gave great advice on places to go and to eat. The building is fabulous with masses of character and original features. Location is excellent - my main reason for the original choice of staying there, which I did on four separate occasions, using Santiago as a hub for travel to all points of the compass. My assigned room which I never saw didn't have a working bathroom. Thus, they gave me their nicest, biggest room right in the corner. It is next to the reception. It was clean, nice, it had a heather, warm-water, great wi-fi.
They also have a safe luggage storage, unlike other hostels where everyone can go in. -
