Absolutely perfect! So good we extended our stay from 5 to 14 days. Convenient location for all the best parts of Santiago; great bars, restaurants, galleries, shopping, museums etc. all within walking distance. 5 mins from Santa Lucia metro station. Excellent maid service - infact probably more frequent than it needs to be. Spotless, well equipped, comfortable apartment with incredible views of Santiago and the mountains (we were on the 15th floor). Efficient, friendly and helpful check-.
all reviews » Having Santiago be my first port of call in South America as a stopover, and as a solo female traveller, I was praying it was safe, easy to get to from the airport and the staff spoke reasonable English (for my Spanish is poor). I was delighted to find ChileApart was all of the above. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very stylish and although small, had everything you could possibly need. Thanks ChileApart for making my first impression of South America a great one!. Location in the middle of the historic centre is really perfect, especially when you're staying just a short time in santiago but want to see something of this city. Furthermore, we arrived at 3:00 AM at the airport and the driver marco was waiting for us. Very gentle and helpfull and telling us about the city santiago on the way to the appartment. This service of chileapart is even less expensive then taking a taxi. The appartment itself was clean and very worth the money. Wonderful location, very walkable, close to tons of shops, restaurants, the metro. Close to Cerro San Cristóbal. Great apartment, perfect for two people, nice kitchen, little balcony, comfortable beds. Close to a nice green space with running path. The pool was nice and had a large patio area around it with beautiful views of the city. All necessary conveniences. As a traveller, I found it difficult to see that the towers standing before me were part of ChileApart as there was no signage. After reassurance from my taxi driver and half understood directions from the man at the gate, I found reception, 6th floor up. A bit of confusion (more on my part!) is all I could fault. There was supposed to be a gym, however, the gym was a room with a few pieces of old broken equipment, probably best not to even mention it. Pool on roof was closed for entire stay - and seems to have been closed for a while. The towels were a bit old and they don't change it every day. The wifi connection is not good. The reception is in a closed office so not very visible. Room got somewhat cold in the winter, and didn't have an electric heater. Bed was a little stiff. No 24-hour office staff (this was expected but slightly inconvenient) and the office is a bit tricky to find, since it's in a normal apartment. 1) We arrived with a rental car to drop our luggage off before taking it back to the airport. There is no place on the street to park. If you do not have a car, this will not be a problem. 2) The apartment does not have A/C but we did not miss it because the outside temperature was about 25C. Nothing really, bath was a bit small. The only thing that is missing is an air conditionate!! Santiago may be very hot or cold, and air conditionated for sure would be great!! Nothing to complain except that!!. some days loud music from other apartments. I think that a good thing may be to have a small cup of sugar and coffee, I always leave something to the next customer, it´s a small signal to do that even more comfortable. I'm not big on cities so the Santiago smog didn't impress me. the temparature for washing water is not so good, sometimes very hot, sometimes get cold. No air-condition. Nothing at all!. Hard to find reception, it was in one apartment in a huge complex, so some more information on how to reach reception would be appreciated traffic noise was a bit high, not amazingly bad, but a bit one wall needed a bit of a wash, but overall apartment was very clean, and overall quite excellent. It is noisy during the morning because of the location. Buses, cars, people going to work... The guards at the door sometimes didn't seem to always know what was going on. Also, the office didn't mention that the apartment would not be cleaned on Sunday. Hope the owner improve the check-in system. We found other customers had some problem for check-in at the gate of the apartment although they seemed to have had a proper reservation. * Since it's downtown, can get a little noisy at night. Towers create an amphitheatre that can be a bit noisy (But it is a city - so it is no more than you would expect). The swimming which is a little bit older. Should be renovated. No staff to contact out-of-hours. Our toilet blocked and we had to wait until reception opened at 9am. (Concierge downstairs is for building security, not Chileapart - no help). There was no flexibility at all for early check-in without paying a half day rate. The furniture was pretty worn and the decor coud do with a refresh. N/A. Staff could have been more helpful Cleaning lady tried to enter room very early and did not understand that we were checking out -no English!. everything was OK. You can only enter rooms at 2 p.m. Not great if you arrive with an early morning flight. The staff guy Luis, was very uncooperative with us and with a bad attitude. I hope he can improve his ways since he definitely knows his stuff. All the other staff members helped us solved the things he wouldn't. Don't book tourist packets with Chile Apart associated groups since they tried to charge us double the prices found elsewhere. A bit noisy if you let the window open during the night. Water system bellowed like a fire alarm every time you ran a tap or flushed the toilet. Nothing. Needs a TV in the living room. When we arrived, the guards downstairs did not speak English and we were very confused. We didnt know what to do and had to just sit waiting. No lobby. No problem to me but it might be less convenient to some people. Really noisy !. None. no heather.
