The staff were very helpful, patient with me when trying out my poor Spanish and gave great advice on places to go and to eat. The building is fabulous with masses of character and original features. Location is excellent - my main reason for the original choice of staying there, which I did on four separate occasions, using Santiago as a hub for travel to all points of the compass. For the airport one can take the taxi in front of the building for a lower price than the shuttle for 2 persons! (13000 CLP). I cannot
