The rooms were great! Soft lightbulbs, not clinical white.. Nice and bright lighting. Whole room was very warm and attractive. Beds, sheets and pillows were very nice, room layout was very friendly. The sink and closet - all of it was very good for the price. The two girls at the front desk were super nice and helpful as well. When we phoned and asked for restaurants or even directions - they looked up stuff and printed us maps. For the money I doubt you'd find anything better :).
all reviews » Our trip was to help our son relocate to Victoria from Edmonton. It took a few days to move into an apartment so they switched him to a room with kitchenette; (even on-site washer/dryer) with everything he ciuld have needed and spotlessly clean. The decor looked new, possibly just well maintained. Staff very friendly, gave us the room for a good weekly rate, great location just 5 minutes drive from Downtown. Would definitely return to this hotel. Hotel was clean and nice, the ABC restaurant attached to the hotel was burnt to the ground due to an arsonist the week before. They need a change machine for their snack and soda machines as they do not provide change. It is close to a few restaurants and a mall. Spacious and comfortable accommodation. Quality mattress and pillows ensured a good sleep. Top class location for the car ferry, visiting Victoria and Butchurt Gardens. Good breakfast with friendly, welcoming staff. All round for us it was a good experience. Rooms were clean and comfortable. During our stay a family member had a medical emergency. The staff was extremely helpful and considerate in assisting us. Thanks so much to Chris and his staff.. you are top notch...we will be back again!!. The room was large enough for 2 adults and 1 7 year old to spread out, the beds were really comfy and there was a small fridge. The complimentary continental breakfast was a nice addition and helped keep costs down. We had an emergency at our home and needed a place for the night close to the hospital as my husband had to be there before 7 am for surgery. This was not too far. Was clean and convenient. We stayed here and attended our grandsons hockey tourney and your Inn was very central to everything. Restaurants were nearby and the arenas were all very close. Thankyou for everything. The shower was weak, and the lighting in the shower room (separate from the sink outside, which is a good thing) - was dim. The shower was the worst part. No hot tub.. they do provide free passes to the steve nash just up the street though which almost totally makes up for this. It could be beneficial to supply some basic pans, dishes and cutlery given that a cooker, fridge and kitchen sink are already provided. Not enough parking near the main entrance. For travellers the restaurant was not open early enough as by 7 am most travellers want to be on the road by 8:00 am and thus opening at 6 am would be better. We ate at the restaurant (abc) the night we arrived and found the service very slow as they only had 1 waitress on duty. Bedspreads and carpeting could be updated. There really was nothing that we did not like about the hotel. Despite being next door to Shaw Cable, we couldn't find the tv listings info that Shaw provides and couldn't get the weather channel because its number is apparently higher than #51, the highest our tv would go. No listing info in the room directory, either. Minor annoyance, overall. Perhaps breakfast "arrangements" informed when checking-in. Restaurant had burnt down, so the temporary breakfast was in a room. Not sure if the food would have been better in better circumstance. Scary spiders all along the outside wall. They are harmless but scary. D: Neighbour's showers (and probably mine, too) were very loud. If you get unlucky with someone showering late at night/early in the morning it could be a nuisance. I like a noon checkout vs. 11 a.m. Only downside was the noisy plumbing you could hear people taking showers in other rooms but this would not stop staying again in this well run motel. Breakfast was okay, not that good. There was no egg or any protein. It was only carbohydrate like, bagels, bread, Danish. There were no fruits either. Unfortunate lack of advertised restaurant (found out it burned down). I prefer to stay in a hotel - don't love the street-direct access, but felt very safe at this hotel. It was a bit of a long cab ride into the toursity bits of town. I cannot think of one thing that I did not like about staying at the Accents Inn. Thank you for an enjoyablestay. Noise overhead from room above...kids jumping? Did stop at 1100 pm!. nothing to repoert. This room was a little far from the parking. Which was not a problem as we did not have heavy bags. Breakfast was just okay...nothing special. Located beside busy road so one gets a bit of traffic noise on the one side of the Inn. The pipes were extremly load and we could hear them every time a neighbor flushed their toilet. We could not sleep in the morning and had to wake up early. there was not good soundproofing between rooms and floors. Air conditioner/heater fan was very noisy. No issues come to mind. not enough parking when holiday buses are parked on the property as well. The hair dryer was not working and I reported it. noise factor, front to main road. no pool. too bad the adjacent restaurant burnt down this Spring and is not replaced. The In Suite Continental breakfast is OK but not a complete replacement. Complimentary breakfast was not very good except for the coffee - toaster did not work properly - pastries were not very appetizing. The noise from water running next door. Noise from road. Bathroom moldings need some attention.
