The hotel was well priced. The room was clean and spacious. The view was great with mountains not far away and yet was not so close that they were overwhelming. The staff was cordial. We would stay another time in the future. Fantastic value for our money. The room was small,but everthing else made up for it. It was clean,and the bed was comfy,the Manager of the place was awesome and had a warm personality.We'd stay again.
all reviews » Despite being over a bar, my room was pretty quiet. The only significant noise was from the occasional train going by. The room was very clean, equipped with fridge and microwave, and spacious. The room was clean and well organized; The place is very quiet and peaceful although there is a bar at the first floor; The price is reasonable. Everything was good about the hotel, friendly staff - jovial in fact!. Reasonable price. Friendly staff. Close to Jesper National Park. Good and clean beds. The hotel was located near the road. The train will wake you up in the mid of the night. The distance to Jasper indicated in Book.com is not accurate, accurately, it is 120 km from Jasper, not 76 km (probably miles). My gps did not pick up the address or the name of the hotel....maybe my fault but something to look into for the owner. Romm a bit too small. The washbasin outside of the washroom. Two lamps not working. no A/C. It is too close to railway; quite noisy at night. The train creates a hell of a noise :-). Nothing. No A/C and several trains going by all nihht. Having to go into the bar to register. There was a late night group on that night with loud noise and drunk patrons exiting bellow the room. Hotel reception was apologetic and upgraded the room all of which was appreciated and we will stay there again but not on a night with late entertainment. We got there late(around 11:00pm) and letsbookhotel.com did not book a room with the hotel. Fortunately the owner did everything he could to get us a bed to sleep in. I have dealt with letsbookhotel.com before without having to deal with such problems. Therefore, I expect some sort of compensation for their mistake or even a deal on our next booking on Sunday or monday of this week when I will be booking agIn. no a/c. Railway is quite close to hotel. close to train road. The room was relatively clean, but a few stray hairs were found on the towels and in the shower - that can be a tad repulsive. Trains going right by window, very noisy. Squeakiest bed ever. stairs, no ac. Trains. No reception desk, room was hot even with a fan on all night, leaving the windows open made me nervous the bolt lock did not give me confidence that it was in place, bed was hard, no tea only coffee, plastic cups, the train in the night, the shaking bed from the train, the train whistle, touch light did not come on even with directions. regular long and heavy trains pass nearby. The towels from previous users were not taken from the bathroom. didn't realise it was on the railway line. Air conditioning would have been good. Old worn out rock hard crunchy mattresses. We just didn't like the location of the hotel right by the railroad tracks hearing trains often with their horns and also the room was so hot no air conditioning. Could use some updates in the bathroom like waterpipes. The train. Sorry, terrible location, room shakes, everybody else said this was the case, but just terrible. The mountain view was bad as well. Some of the lamps didn't work. Unclean, hard to check in. The train that woke me up regularly. Level crossing outside window means that the train sounds its claxson several times. Then the noise of the 150 wagons really wakes you up. the room is too hot and super noisy when the train goes by. Noisiest mattress we have ever encountered. Just sitting on the bed was enough to make it squeak and rustle. Trains blasting through every half an hour blowing whistles very loud. Worst sleep ever. The bed shakes every two hours when the train goes by. This hotel is so tired and not too clean. Will not be staying here again. Train line yards from hotel with whistles blowing. Had to move from first room as lights didn't work - second room hot and next to trains, third and final room at back but still close to trains - beds shook as train (very long in Canada) went past. Overall smelt bad the minute you step into the place. Smell of old people and mud. Nobody was working at the front desk when we were checking out, we had to track them down by calling their phones. There was no a/c or fan of any sort. There were too much noises for all the night because of trains and bar music. In addition to that, the room was so hot. It was worst that I ever have experienced. dirty...sink leaked...poor TV reception...torn curtains...
