WE loved the room we stayed in, We had a beautiful view of St John's harbor,watched the full moon come up over Signal Hill and had a wonderful view of the Star lighting up Cabot Tower on Signal Hill for the Christmas season. We had booked a room with a city view which upon arrival was nt the case. No big deal the front desk receptionist moved us to a harbour view which was fantastic).

I understand that hotels are generally more expensive downtown, however through my work I live in the US and live from hotel to hotel and have stayed in nicer holiday inns... I even got a deal booking through expedia and the price was honestly outrageous.. Im curious why this hotel charges guests for local calls?. Very expensive breakfast. Restaurant quality. Quite expensive. Parking was at a minimum. I had book a city view I got Dock View . They put me on the 2nd Fl By a office & on the bottom of another 7.30 the u here the Chair on top .When I Left They ask me how my stay was I reply Good . Just wish there was a bar fridge in room. Didn't like the location of the room so close to the exit. There was a lot of noice from the fire stairwell door opening and closing very early in the morning. Otherwise the room had an excellent view and very comfortable and clean. I would still stay at the Sheraton. The hotel is supposed to feel luxury and room rates (with out a deal or special) reflect that -- the service and quality of facilities does not reflect that. I feel that the hotel is a little dated and need an interior face-lift. While staff were not rude or anything like that, the price point suggests much better service. To me, the hotel felt like it was "supposed" to be high end, but didn't put the work into achieving that high end quality. The price was too high as this hotel should be given 2 stars Also, staff dosnt really know how they paying system is work!!!, they locked around 4000 $ from my acount!!!,they should take half of this value and till today i couldnt get the money. i had problems in my room with bathroom,,,said they were going to give discount but didnt. My booking shows total room rate at $ 383.00. I was charged $442.00 from the hotel. I am not happy. Hotel infrastructure is not in good shape. Lots of problems. Staff not well trained at front counter. Problems with billing, admin, lack of attention to detail and customer service. I received an email advising me my reservation was cancelled and my credit card would be charged the full rate due to my no show even though I checked in and stayed in the hotel in room 107 for 3 nights. I am not impressed. Everything else; value, quality, cleanliness, amenities.
