I liked the layout of the room. The room was clean. I liked the bed. It was just right - not too firm, not too soft. I liked that there wasn't an old bedspread on top. I liked the continental breakfast downstairs. I liked how clean the area was and the simple choices. The coffee was really good. I liked the airport shuttle service and the elderly man that drove me. We only stayed at this hotel for only a few hours (arrived late and had to take an early flight the next morning) for a flight connection. The only front staff that was working at that time was extremely friendly and helpful. The 5:30 AM continental breakfast and courtesy shuttle to the airport were much appreciated.

Location was close to Francis Winspear Centre, where I needed to be. Rooms were basic but comfortable. Kitchenette unit in room was useful. Although breakfast was continental, there was lots of choice. Rooms were adequate for my needs of accommodation while arriving from airport as well as return trip home... Clean- friendly staff, convenient location,shuttles service very convenient and friendly. Breakfast starting 5 AM = useful when you have to catch an early flight at YYJ, as we had to. Free & fast internet access. Spacious room with kitchenette allowed sufficient space of a kot. We liked having the kitchenette to make our lunch and a place to keep drinks cool durning the day. The pool was very nice with lots of tables, chairs, and lounges. Very clean and well kept. Comfortable beds; great shower; better than average continental breakfast; quiet; in a very nice town that we roamed about in for a long evening. The walk along the ocean is spectacular. The rooms (business floor) were recently renovated and therefore, comfortable, clean and spacious. It was close to the ferry terminal and close enough to Victoria center (about 25 mins away). After changing from a kitchenette to a standard room, overlooking beacon rd I very much enjoyed my stay. The hotel was fairly quiet and the staff were friendly and accommodating. My room felt fresh, clean and high quality. If there was noise a quick call to the front desk and they took care of it immediately. The location with respect to the airport was excellent, and it was also easy to explore Sidney a bit on foot. The staff were nice. And the option to use a neighboring gym was excellent. I wish there was at least one conditioner and not two shampoos. I was counting on there being conditioner as I was flying and didn't bring any. I was hoping there was body lotion, too. People that fly tend to not bring things like that. The bath towels were a bit small and rough feeling. nothing. Having to pay a refundable deposit. Assigned parking for the motel was in a public parking lot. Room was ground floor on the edge of a gas station. A nice swimming pool, but the hours were quite limited because of adjacent rooms. The swimming pool was closed for maintenance. Nothing to comment on here. No pool. It was outdoor so not open. Kids drove me nuts cuz they were mad. Also the tub, sink and kitchenette sink all had slow drains. Might need a good cleaning. The first stay, the clock didn't work, the lamp didn't work, you couldn't walk on the bathroom floor with sticking. The back of the bathroom door was yucky, something sticky running all down it. Towels were thin and we couldn't lock the door to the balcony. nothing. Reception area not very bright or cheery. The shuttle was full and we had to take a taxi to the airport. The fact that the bath plug allowed water to escape so I wasn't able to have a full bath, and the hairdrier would not turn on. I also hated the basement breakfast room that had no charm and no windows. Nothing, really. Quite expensive for hotel quality, but then again this is typical of the location. Other option is to find hotel in Victoria city (20km+ down the road). Our reservation was not correct in that when I booked online the 2 children were allowed to stay free because of their age but the booking went through as 2 adults with a kitchenette instead of 2 adults and 2 children with kitchenette so we were forced to abandon the kitchenette for 2 queen beds which the Travelodge kindly gave us at only $10.00 per night extra above the original quote. the rooms were not cleaned properly (chips behind the bedside table). The pool was cold. Nothing at this time. Fine for our travel need. TV remote did not work. Refridgerator not plugged in, so food spoiled. Single cup coffee maker was not efficient for a party of 3. Breakfast ended too early 09.am ( started at 05am.). Breakfast offering was spare. Area for breakfast was too small. Travelodge willing to accommodate parking agreement only if booking directly with them. Nothing comes to my mind to complain about really. Nothing, met expectaions. Expensive!!! AND after I got back home I realised why - we were overcharged. My reservation calls for $89 and yet the bill was $150 as we were charged rack rate. Needs reno. Room was not made up on one day because we did not leave until 1130. It was a bit noisy, given the fact that the airport flight path runs in front of the hotel, so the early morning take offs were noticed.. Breakfast was not great, but okay. My originally booked kitchenette room was very tired, dated and smelly. It was not acceptable accommodation for a woman and a baby, considering it was on the ground floor. The bathroom wasn't cleaned enough during my 8 night stay. It was a mid-range hotel with all that entails: a bit run-down everywhere, from carpets, to bedding, to style, to breakfast dishes ... also, the internet coverage didn't reach all the way to our room, which was a drag ... Previous guest's dinner left in fridge. Toilet handle fell off. Light didn't work. Paint chipped. Breakfast area chaotic and messy. Air con didn't work well Crumbs on stairs stayed there during 4 night stay Breakfast room has no windows. Only used it in 1st of 4 days. Not with getting up for. The floor in the washroom had not been cleaned and the room was freezing when I walked in. It took about 10 minutes to warm up after I turned the Airconditioning off and the heat on.
