  Truly, I have no hesitation at all in recommending The Summerhill Bed & Breakfast. Convenience to the wonderful attractions of Port Hope; the best breakfasts; the best hosts, Deborah & Liam; and topping the list of bests, their fourteen month old wolfhound Maggie.   I loved the convenience of the location. It is only two hour driving from Toronto and hotel has beautiful scenery looking to the lake. the free breakfast of good quality makes easier and happy and also free coffee in the lobby. I would recommend to my friends to stay in this hotel for family vacation. Also having small kitchen it is definitely... what people say » useful to make small food and warm up any meal. - The Inn was excellent in terms of decor, facilities and the breakfast offering was stellar. The suite we stayed in surpassed our expectations. Tastefully decorated and super clean! The bed was very comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the scenic view of the wharf from our balcony. The complimentary coffee and evening snack were a very nice touch.

  The stay was fantastic. The room (number 7) was big and very comfortable with everything you need and more, plus a great view over the lake. The public lounge was so well decorated and really cosy as well as having plenty of games (including pool table). The breakfasts were really good and the hosts, Jacqui, Nancy & Sid were so welcoming, know... what people say » ledgable and interesting. It is also only about 25mins to Algonquin national park. - Nancy and Sid were extremely welcoming and helpful. The inn has a huge patio that overlooks the lake. There is a beach and great lake for swimming. They also have canoes to use. Historic beautiful old building. On our last day they invited us to stay as long as we liked and use the beach and patio. If I am ever in that beautiful area again I will definitely plan a return visit to The Portage Inn.

The little spa bench in the bathroom was cool, the shower was great, the bed was incredibly comfortable, the desk space was functional and pleasant, the lighting was interesting and sort of glamorous, and the space to put my suitcase was perfect. From Russia, lovely man with - Just like being in Europe - except they have face cloths and ice machines! Excellent value for the money, and 50 yards or so from the free people mover to the airport terminals - ideal for a layover in the center of the Canadian universe. Don't listen to those people complaining about the cost of the microwave food at the bar. Sure, it's overly expensive, but the monorail will take you to the airport for free, and there are 24 hour restaurants there - not gourmet, but Swiss Chalet, Timmy's, etc

  The room was very nice. We liked your emphasis on the environment. We rated your location as "good" because most of the things we did were at the other end of the city. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to many more with your chain. The location superb and it was very quiet. There is a restaurant connected to the hotel which was great for breakfast. This hotel will be renovating which can only improve it. The beds were very comfortable. I would stay there again.

  I had to be located near the hospital during a bad snow storm. The Residence Inn fit the bill perfectly. Lovely room, very comfortable, accommodating staff. Breakfast was very good, not your usual hotel breakfast. I will be staying there again! Wonderful hotel!
