I don't think I didn't like anything. It is a nice place, the bed was very comfortable, the room was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. We walked around the area abit, would like to have looked more, was very quaint. Would for sure stay there again. I didn't buy any of the items that you sell, but I think that is a good idea, to sell the linen etc. I also didn't get a chance to try the restaurant so I can't comment on that.
all reviews » Front desk were all friendly and helpful, considerate of our age. Our room was very clean and the appointments fresh and appealing. We liked the little balconu for fresh air and the view was pretty even tho' we were not very high up, our choice. We recommended the hotel to afriend who is going to stay there next week. Staff are all super friendly. Juliet arranged water view rooms for us as we requested before arrival. The chinese restaurant she recommended was authentic too. Rooms are clean and modern. Liked the "eco-friendly" concept. Downtown Nanaimo is actually tranquil and relaxing. Will definitely come back. The lovely generously sized room with a bathroom far larger than most hotel rooms have. The helpful staff, who allowed our friend who arrived before check-in time to have her room. The location which really could not be better for walking and restaurants and sight-seeing. This is a lovely hotel with the most comfortable beds I have had in a hotel. The room was spacious, clean with excellent bathroom and shampoo/ body wash etc. The staff were very helpful and friendly. A thoroughly enjoyable stay in a fanastic hotel and a very pretty resort. great staff and support staff, location was fantastic, loved all the linens and bath accessories etc, even purchased a shower curtain, very tastefully renovated, and felt like home, and the ribs and ciders were awesome, will be back soon, you guys rock. The location was absolutely terrific. We had a lovely view of the harbour from our room. Close to shopping and restaurants and just a 10 minute trip to the ferry terminal of those off island. The hotel is right by the waterfront, so endless choices for shopping, restaurants and long walks. The location is excellent, and it seems like almost all rooms have a view of the harbor. That the no-smoking rule included the minute balconies - seemed far beyond the spirit of the regulations. nothing. it would have been nice if there was a swimming pool or at least a hot tub :-). Nothing -it was a great choice. I wish the rooms w/ two beds had 2 queens instead of 2 doubles. The cooling system in the room would be even better if it could be set to a specific temperature. But these aren't such big things. It's a nice, above average hotel. nothing. Absolutely nothing!. We were sorry to leave! That's it...!. The breakfast was very expensive for two (~$65), but the quality of the food was excellent. Nothing. Rooms were on the small side, a tight squeeze for a family of 4 & hotel should consider pricing adjoining rooms for families. Wish hotel had pool. No pool Charged for parking. Every thing was excellent. I didn't like how the cleaners adjusted the ac when they came in to clean. One day the turned it right up so it was freezing when I got back and the next they turned it right down. When you get back later in the evening it was warm going to bed. Only limited drinks available a coffee each (2) plus one decaf coffee and one teabag!!......no stirrers for hot drinks :( (fortunately we had a few teabags with us!!). Nothing. as the room was warm and I don't like air conditioning, so had the door open... awoken at 6 am by the screeching of the seagulls... but then, it is the ocean!. the fact that there was no parking was easily remedied however, having said this, the staff member we dealt with was not helpful in this aspect at all to begin with. We had to ask him explicitly how we were to find parking. I would think that a hotel of this size should have the parking issue clearly laid out before a guest arrives in the rain and has NO idea where to leave a vehicle so that he/she can check in. Sour smelling shower curtain!. Parking a slight walk away but indoors. Nothing. Parking. This time we had a water view but there was a party going on and people were outside smoking. We couldn't smell the smoke, it was just a bit noisy. However it did not go on all night and we always bring earplugs just in case. room was cold. rooms were very cold upon first entry. Hotel difficult to find, need better signage or map. It took us 45 minutes to locate the hotel. Did that by stopping a pizza delivery guy.ll. Nothing. The view was good, but not spectacular as I expected. We were offered an upgrade but at $40 didn't wish to pay this Overall pleasant but I was underwhelmed. no pool, no hot tub, parking costs extra.
