Fabulous service. Attentive and helpful staff! When dessert I ordered to take to my room took longer than expected, they offered and brought it to my room! The General Manager was fabulous and introduced herself and chatted. This is a superior hotel!!! It added as much pleasure to my trip as the trip itself. Had to get extra set of towels and they them remembered that number every day and I never had to ask again. When we came back to the states and I was stuck in hotels with pitiful servi.

My family and I just spent an incredible weekend in Montreal staying in Sofitel Golden Mile. Overall Montreal is faboulous, but the best part of our stay there was a friendly staff, convenient location, clean, spacious and luxurious room at Sofitel. It felt like home :). They did Their best to accommodate our needs, they did not have 2 bed room for us on the first night. however, the next day they called us and moved us to a 2 bed room. By the way the hotel rooms are big and comfterble. Location, and staff were very friendly and accommodating to all our needs. We were able to check in at noon rather than 3 which was very nice. Very nice hotel, would definitely stay there again. Reading lights; location; availability of second floor to kill time until an appointment after check out; large bathroom; powerful shower; counter space in shower; shower amenities. The service was excellent. The employees were professional but friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean and modern. - Rooms - spacious bathroom - hygiene products - cleanliness of the hotel - location of the hotel - 12 pm checkout. Location. I loved it all!!. There is nothing we didn't like about Sofitel. Nothing. Our room was by the elevators, some noise at night but not too bad. Also for some people not used to city noise while sleeping, sirens, honking cars,etc, not a problem for us as we are used to city life. no coffeemaker in room; no pool;. - Mini bar that you couldn't put anything in - $10 rental for a fridge (since you couldn't use the mini bar) - $300 rental for a board room for an hour (very expensive). Caution: the mini bar is very sensitive to movement. Any movement of product can result in it being automatically charged to your bill. Room faced Sherbrooke street so no view of the mountain. A bit of noice from the traffic. Room was a bit small compared to other luxury hotels. No bathtub. Nothing to report here. Coffee machine is not in the room TOO soft bed (pillowtop) I prefer regular mattress. the fact that they tried to put me in a smelly room (former smoking floor l5th floor) The room reeked! I have asthma and they knew that, but still they tried to pawn off that horrible room on me which facilitated a move which I didn't enjoy much. No coffee in the room, no bathtub in the bathroom. no coffee maker in the room. the taksi people. all good. Not really a warm welcome nor a high sense of hospitality. Nothing. Staff Rainy day the porter stayed inside and didn't even open the door much less call a taxi preferred to chat with colleagues of the hotel. Renoir restaurant staff not very efficient .....at breakfast brings the spoon for eating fruit after the bowl of fruit is almost empty. The vienoiseries are cold and tasteless at 9 am inadmissible for a French restaurant in 5 stars ???? hotel.
