Bathroom had great whirlpool bath tub around city are convenient bike rentals where you can get a bike or drop off, can rent for day, picking up/drop off bike at different locations in city. From hotel, it is a two hour roundtrip bike to the Chalet de Mont Royal, with spectacular view of city and the street the hotel is on !. A quality hotel in an excellent city centre location just off the main shopping street and with plenty of bars and restaurants within ambling distance, yet remaining very quiet and tranquil. Very pleasant and professional staff and luxuriously appointed rooms.
all reviews » The room was clean with a sumptious bed. Never seen such a jet of water to fill a bath in a hotel before. A full bath took 2 mins exactly. TV in bedroom and bath. Free Wi-Fi. Downstairs there was a good bar and breakfast room with friendly staff. Superb location in downtown Montreal. Very pleasant, attentive staff. Great bed. Good bathroom, the spa bath was excellent though the separate shower was rather small with a rather miserable shower head and water flow.Decent sized bath towels. Very friendly staff. Enjoyed the stay even though the hotel was under rennovation. The location is excellent, shopping and the best of Montreal down town restaurants are all a few steps away. Would stay there again next time in Montreal. This was an absolutely amazing hotel with the most wonderful staff members. They made my stay one to remember!! Someone was yelling in the street below after midnight, enough to wake us and went on a half hour refrigerator was packed with mini bar....would have preferred space for our own items to put in refrigerator. There was some building work around the foyer. This was due to be completed soon after my stay (April '13) and when finished will improve the hotel facilities with an attractive bar/restaurant. When I paid for a late extension to 7 pm I specifically asked if my room key would remain valid the whole time. I was told yes but of course when I returned about 3 or 4 pm and went up there the key didn't work and I had to trail back down to reception. Not good when I was in a hurry. Minimal supply of tea and coffee sachets for the in room machine, only one tea despite 2 occupants even after repeatedly asking for more. No real milk.Multiple small tears 2 cms long in the sheets, even after they were changed. Room too hot with the thermostat continually needing to be reset. Restaurant for breakfast was good but poor value for dinner. Currently under renovations....but that in no way took away from the fabulous treatment that they consistently give!. I have always received a turn down service when staying there. It's nice to come in late from working to a few lights and the bed ready. This time they didn't do that...not sure if I was missed or they don't provide that service anymore. No free wi-fi, in 2013 this should no longer happen. Costly Wifi in the room. Minibar com automatic invoicing system who avoids to use it to cool personal drinks or food. Knobs on the bathroom taps - nice looking but very hard to turn !. I dislike the having to pay for WI FI this shoud be included in te price or as a free perk, especially if you are trying to attract a business clientel. I have traveled to may places were it is included, even in som of the remote areas I have visited. Have no dislikes :). nothing. I wasn't sure what facilities the hotel had. I am sure I could have asked, but I like it when there is a book in the room listing the facilities. Wifi should be included. Charging $14.95 per 24 hrs is ridiculous! They do offer free wifi in the lobby but it should also be included with all rooms. Surprised they didn't accept debit cards. I had to get cash from the bank!. There is nothing I did not like Maybe overnight parking should be less expensive. Door people could be a bit quicker. Movie rentals expensive. Old hotel with new furniture. Poor rehab. Nothing. I prefer to have additional door's chain lock for more security (I.e if there is someone nock on the door you could open the door with the chain attached and talk with security (every other hotels have it) The hotel should give free internet access (it's a standard to almost every orher hotel). Expensive parking. Mold on tile in the shower. Wifi didn't work in our room. Bar is terrible, no idea how to prepare simple drinks and not able to control with only 8 people there, a loud, vulgar, argumentative table of 3. The price of the breakfast and the food delivered. To pay for the Internet 14,95$ a day. No pool. Charged me random items on mini bar for 20 CAD because tip for room service was not sufficient. Check your bill when leaving! Staff trying to be nice, but you never feel comfortable. (doorman, room service).
