We couldn't have had a more comfortable stay. First we were upgraded to a larger room with kitchen and bathroom for disabled guests. Super clean and inviting. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, and the continental breakfast was adequate although rather pre-packaged, which surprised me since it is a very eco-friendly hotel in every other aspect. When we had a problem it was resolved quickly. Our air conditioning stopped working and without question, Patrick, the desk clerk was at our room to see what he could do for us. It required maintenance so he had keys to the suit next to ours in hand and moved us immediately. We were most impressed and thankful.
all reviews » The check in clerk was excellent. I was stressed and asked if we could check in early as we had a wedding to attend and wanted to clean up beforehand. The room I had booked was not ready yet so he said he didn't want me to be stressed and offered me an upgrade for the same price. I was very impressed with him. I really appreciated being put on the back of the hotel away from the highway (less noise). Patrick was very helpful in answering any questions I had and all the staff was very polite and professional - good customer service. I have already recommended this property to friends and other business travellers. Everything was there - I didn't need to ask for anything else. Free breakfast always fresh and good. As the weather was cool during my visit, it was convenient to visit the mall which was a short walk away. I needed my laptop often, so the free Internet was really a help. Just like being at home. the staff was very friendly and helpful when we had a problem with the room we were given the were prompt to fix the issue and we were given a upgrade . the room was very clean . my family and I have stayed here many times because of how friendly the staff is and how quiet the rooms are . No frills, comfortable, good value. Not to far from Prospera Place. Staff was very helpful with directions from the hotel to Prospera Place as soon as we arrived. Complimentary breakfast. Basically had everything I needed including an ironing board which is handy if you are going out. We liked how friendly the staff were. Any staff member we passed by would smile and say hello. We felt very welcomed. We also liked that we were able to walk to the downtown. We appreciated not needing to call a cab, or drive our car if we wanted to explore a part of the city. Large, clean room and good pool facility. Rooms at the rear of the hotel are reasonably protected from traffic noise and it's a pleasant 10 minute walk along tree-lined Bernard Street to the lake. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast included and good onsite restaurant. All staff were awesome, very helpful, very pleasant. Location was perfect for us. We were upgraded to a loft suite, in order to make our stay more comfortable. Continental breakfast sure hit the spot each morning! Coffee in the office and access to a computer were great!. We loved our entire stay there. The pool was clean..the rooms were clean and for the first time ever at a hotel, we did not have to ask for anything. Kids were happy and we were happy. We would stay again in an instant and have told everyone how we felt about our stay. We stayed in the loft, liked the space. Convenient location for travellers, not walking to downtown. The location was great, not to far from the beach close to family we were visiting, quiet. That the housekeeping staff was respectful of my do not disturb sign, I don't usually get house keeping every day and I appreciated my privacy being honoured. ease of check in and check out was wonderful. The manager changed our accommodation on his own initiative to a ground-floor unit when he saw my husband had mobility issues. I liked that the room and bathroom were clean and tidy. I didn't dislike anything. Unfortunately we were very limited for time so did not get to enjoy the pool,hot-tub or complimentary breakfast. The bed was too soft for my back - but that was it. Nothing really except I kept having problems with my room/breakfast entry card which needed to be re-set twice. Needs more updating than a coat of paint. When guests were in the suite above ours, it was so loud! Every movement caused loud noises. It's not that the guests were loud...it's just that sound carried and kept us up at night when we were trying to relax and fall asleep. Unacceptable levels of noise from other guests who didn't seem to care if they were disturbing people. One night the noise from the room above us continued until 3am. Reception staff were apologetic next day when we told them and offered a discount on our room rate. The amount of condensation in the bathroom, after a shower. It hung around for quite a long time, dripping onto the floor from around the toilet. The only thing I could see improving on at all was more choices for kids at breakfast. Breakfast wasn't great, very simple but very edible. Would like more variety. A little dated decor. That all smoking rooms are on the bottom floor. :( I feel less safe on the bottom floor of a hotel that opens to the outside, especially being a single female traveler. But I also realize that no one cares about smokers anymore. :( We are evil, and I do thank you very much for at least having a few smoking rooms. There was no iron in the room to press wrinkled clothes. Nothing to say. Can't really think of anything. Breakfast was all carbs except for yogurt. Certainly doesnt help gluten free patrons. Only checked out breakfast once as there was practically nothing I could have. everything was perfect!!!!! good job !!!!. Being on my own there and check out staff was not as friendly as at check in. Person was short during interaction with me. The rugs could have been cleaner. Room was in need of updating especially bathroom and tub. No complaints. Nothing. Poor soundproofing between the bathtub/shower and the sleeping area. Ground level room had dirty floor and smoke wafted into the room from the outside. Bathroom need upgrade, faucets/ sink/ tub very dull and filmy. Fair breakfast choices. Extra pillows would be nice. No seperate switch for bathroom fan. Staff on request were not the most prompt. Did not have cream for morning coffee, took 30minutes to get up to room when requested and we were told next time to call the restaurant for it. Asked for clean towels they were just left on top of toilette not put on rack and dirty ones left on the floor. The breakfast was just ok. The ice machine was far away. There was no elevator and we had to carry heavy bags up a lot of stairs. Very noisy bathroom fan is connected to light, noisy if someone gets up at night. No separate switch for bathroom fan and the fan was noisy.
