I stayed there as a stop between Hope and Banff. First of all, the owner, Josh, was Very friendly and have done everything that was possible to make our stay the most confortable one. Altough by looking outside it might seems a bit simple,the hotel offers big and confortable rooms, great bathrooms, all renewed. Moreover the owner had the kindness to offer good brands for the ammenities, such as shampoo, conditioner and lotion. The location is also Very good, close to downtown city. Definitelly,.
all reviews » Kamloops was MUCH nicer than we'd thought - for us it was just a stopover on way to Rockies, but actually it is a very pleasant little town with a lovely riverside. The couple running the Inn were really friendly and helpful. And our room had a bathtub as well as a shower, which you don't always get - much appreciated. Breakfast good; v relaxed and jolly atmosphere. We stopped at the Acadian Inn twice on our journey through the Rockies, once on the way to Jasper, and once on our way back from Banff. Both times we were very happy with our stay. The room was very spacious and comfortable and very clean. Great value for money. Having a microwave was great too, as we didn't have to spend money eating out. We would stay here again. The hotel staff is professional and helpful. We were headed to Calgary and learned that Calgary was flooded. The roads to Calgary were closed. The front desk staff helped us for 3-4 hours in learning nearby airports and let us make calls required to reschedule our trip. We were two families with 3 kids. Acadian Inn's assistance kept our trip memorable. The best price in town with clean and newly renovated room. With new paint and new carpet, the old motel does not smell bad. Location is close to city centre and lots of facilities are within walking distance. The staffs are very friendly and make you feel at home. This trip up to celebrate an anniversary and to visit with my grandma I decided to try the Acadian Inn. I LOVED how quiet it was. The room was very nice and clean and the staff very friendly. The location is is easy to get to and from. The staff, the comfortable room - which unlike many others had amenities such as microwave, spacious fridge, hairdryer, better than normal supplies, reasonably sized bathroom with great water pressure for shower and soaker tub, quiet heater/air conditioner. Very clean. The room was very clean,the beds were comfortable, and the new bathroom and kitchen area were new and spotless. It was very nice to have a fridge, coffee maker and microwave oven. The flatscreen TV had full cable channels. The facility was clean, bathrooms had been recently remodeled and the bed was very comfy. The on site restaurant served a good breakfast (not included). Very convenient to the city with a number of good restaurants. The guy in the office is very nice guy. He helped me fix the electronic in midnight and gave me a new fast heating water machine. The most important thing was the restaurant he introduced is very good!. For a one night stopover to break the drive to Vancouver it was good value, easy to find and near enough to walk to Downtown for something to eat. Nice touch to supply toiletries, coffee, etc?. We were in Kamloops for medical reasons and the location of the motel was convenient for us. We found the staff helpful and friendly which set a friendly atmosphere while in Kamloops. They had ice, breakfast and a good internet conncetion - so important. absolutely no pressure at this ,facility ,for skiers or snowmobilers its the perfect place to stay. I can not really think of anything I did not like during our first stay at the Acadian Inn. The only thing that I could recommend is perhaps having 1 space per room clearly marked with unit number as we got in late and ended up having to park at the opposite end from where our room was. This was NOT a major concern however. Plastic cups/coffee cups. Hate that. Also, sound insulation was not that great. Outside noises were bearable, plumbing noises from room above were not. It would have been handy to have a second mirror in the room. It is an older facility so the AC was a little noisy. Not a big issue. The only downside was the noise caused by the air conditioning system. Although not extreme it interfered with a rather enjoyable stay. The fact that they didn't have more motels in other places we stayed. would have liked table or desk. If there two people staying there should always be TWO chairs; there was plenty of room. We only stayed the one night, and could not fault it. Nothing really. The slowest internet connection in the world, unusable[almost]. Heater / AC was rather noisy. Nothing. Everything was fine. the location is not a close to town as we would have preferred. We arrived when there was a new tarseal layer being laid but were only a bit hamstrug by this activity. Airconditioner was noisy although not more than normal for this type. I always bring earplugs. light system in bathroom (only a minor issue). We were there for 3 days. Our towels were only changed once and the garbage was only emptied once. There were dead ants in the fridge. Did feel as if wasn't quite finished, think it was 'work in progress'. The bedspreads were antiquated. Furniture was shabby, and a luggage rack would be useful, and protect the furniture at the same time! I had to go to the office to borrow a bottle opener ! The Indian cooking odour was a bit much in the lobby.
