We loved the location! Beautiful place!! Staff was very pleasant and helpful. We had eaten breakfast at the restaurant there and came away very full! The menu was awesome and the food was excellent! I had mentioned to the waitress that it was our 40th Anniversary and felt it was a good start to the day! We decided to make a reservation for dinner that evening. When they sat us down they had put a heart shaped ornament on our table!! Felt very spoilt!!The food was fabulous!! They had surprised u.
all reviews » In jasper in the slow time of year, the restaurant was only open a couple times a week so we didn't get to enjoy it tat much. That being said we had breakfast Wednesday morning which was delicious and dinner Wednesday night, also delicious, staff were extremely attentive and helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The proximity to Jasper can be a little bit of a headache but when all the facilities are open would be much better. Very close to some very good walking trails and pyrami. Stayed from Nov 14 to 17. Although the room is not new ( no one in Jasper is), it is clean, no smell at all. Everything is good in room, the lovely fireplace, sitting area, study desk, flat screen and the bar fridge. The view from the room is perfect. The outdoor hot tub is relaxing. The wifi sometimes is slow but still has good connection. The staff are friendly and efficient. Overall, a very good value for money we spent. A wonderful experience in winter at Jasper. Definitely would come back . Me and my g/f stayed their for our 1 year and it was amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful,the location was absolutely beautiful,cabins / rooms were very rustic but modern and very clean. When travelling to jasper we always stayed at the fairmont but pyramid lake resorts is 100 times better and 1/2 the price. Next time we visit jasper we will be staying at pyramid lake resorts and I recommend anybody visiting jasper to check out pyramid lake resorts you will not be disappointed. I can't understand some of the negative reviews I read about Pyramid Resort. I absolutely loved the location with the outstanding views of Pyramid Lake and the mountains. I also found the rooms to be clean and pleasant especially with the gas fireplace. I also found the staff very helpful on what to do and see as I was only there for a long weekend and had never been to the Canadian Rockies before. It's a beautiful place and I would certainly stay at the resort again. Very comfortable bed and excellent room facilities. The lounge area with the fireplace was perfect to relax in from of after a long day. The location is perfect for scenery and not too far from Jasper. I preferred the free continental breakfast that was offered during the week when the restaurant was closed. It was quick and easy to help yourself. I would highly recommend Pyramid Lake Resort. I look forward to going back next year. When you leave Jasper and head up the pyramid road you seem to instantly forget the fast pace world you are about to leave behind and instantly relax with the view of the mountains , the smell of the air the drive by Patricia lake and then as you approach Pyramid lake and then see the lodge set back against the hill and lake side and you don't want to ever leave . Everyone went out of there way to accomidate us ,thank you. I loved the setting, the activities available, and being able to have a resort/type vacation without the expensive price tag. I loved the great use of space of the rooms and having a small kitchenette with a young family is a bonus. The restaurant offered gourmet quality food at a reasonable cost. Love that they were open for the winter!!! Will definitely be back!. the unit was cosy and efficient the fireplace was really nice the layout of the units gives the feeling of privacy in a really positive way we had supper in the dining room it was excellent and very elegant and good value for the cost the staff was very responsive when I let them know we needed way more coffee in our room. The view, the place away from the traffic still very close to town and very good staff at the front desk very devoted to serve and friendly. It was only a one day journey but very nice to be their. You are in the Rocky Mountains, nothing is better, more beautiful and the view of the lake is outstanding. Sitting on the peir, first thing in the morning was so peaceful and serene. A very good time to relax and enjoy the coffee and sights. The location is amazing, gorgeous surroundings. I like the cabin like design with decks overlooking the lake and mountain view with easy access to the rooms. I would of loved to been there in the summer and enjoy swimming; next time. A great resort in such a great location, with Pyramid Lake view. Absolutely best resort in town. To us, its location is better than the Fairmont's. We had to extend our stay due to the Calgary floods, and the staff were VERY helpful. Stunning location. Decent sized room, clean and comfortable. We had dinner in The Pines Restaurant and the food was absolutely delicious, my husband's steak was cooked (well-done) to perfection, everything was very good. The location was awesome. Such a beautiful lakeside location and far enough out of town to feel like you were a million miles from civilization and yet only 5 minutes from Jasper's main area. Awesome location, hiking trails, food in the dining room was great, the bed was comfortable and the room was excellent. We enjoyed the outdoor hot tub and also enjoyed the steam room. We loved the small kitchenette suite so that we could prepare our own meals. We loved the rooms, with the fireplace, and of course the amazing view and nightly dips in the hot tub. The view and area are fantastic - loved the mountains the trails to hike were awesome and nice they go right into Jasper resort was well cared for and we had a great 3 nights there. Pet friendly which was important. Beautiful views, hiking trails, horse rides near by. Hardly any mosquitoes (review complaints). Somewhat rustic but rooms were very comfortable. Love the rooms and the view. Staff was fantastic! Booking and check in was super easy. We had a bottle of champaign waiting for us in our room as this was our 15th anniversary. If there is microwave in room, it would add the last .5 to make it 10 out of 10 for sure! My wife feels the pillow is a little bit too high for her but this is pretty minor. Everything was perfect. No complaints. Having to pay for breakfast in the restaurant. Give the option of a free continental breakfast. There was nothing I didn't like. Loved my time there! Will definitely be back with the family again. the only lack we found was in the TV choices mostly because you couldn't get a guide as satelite isn't compatible with any guides radio reception wasn't great so next time I will take a cd player so I can have the kind of music I like. very fixable issue we are planning our next visit to Jasper and will stay again at Pyramid Lake. None. The design of the 'lodges' meant that if you stayed on the lower level you heard folks tromping up and down the stairs but not a huge problem. Nothing really - although we were disappointed our last night there - we had decided to stay at the resort for dinner, but there was a large bus load from your other properties that filled the restaurant and it was closed to everyone else - so we never did get a chance to taste the dinner menu as recommended by your staff. The one waiter/host did offer a special dinner, if we were to return to the resort, but we're from Ontario and it likely won't be any time soon unfortunately. No newspapers in the shop. Wireless internet didn't reach up to our room at the top of the hill. Restaraunt was expensive. Requires Fan for air circulation Hot tub small and away from main rooms. It was nice to have breakfast included, but it was very scanty. Only cereals and toast. All the pastries were gone by the time we arrived at 9 am and not replenished. Small bowl of jams on each table with only one jam, one honey and two marmalades. Maybe more is provided in high season?. The rooms were a bit dark and small but clean and the location more than made up the deficiencies. The restaurant at the resort. The view was nice but the food was mediocre. Restaurant menu was not great, trying to be too fancy. Spa is a long way to get to especially when cold in winter thermostat/infloor heating was hard to control, too hot when we got in so turned it down, then froze at night and took a long time to reheat the room. Need to explain that somewhere. Raining and I had to leave too quickly. I did not like the bed. It was very uncomfortable. The pulled out couch was where my husband slept. That would of been ok...but it was our 13th anniversary. With that being said....we will be back. The WiFi was not very good .. hard to connnect and very slow . No AC in the room or a fan at least would have been nice . Hot tub closed to early. The one room didn't have a bathroom window; felt closed in. The people above us who were clomping around at all hours of the night and early mornings!! We have stayed in other units at Pyramid Lake Resort in the past and this was never a problem. I had to wipe out the basket in the coffee maker and the coffee we made tasted awful. Would try bottled water next time. no air conditioning. The restaurant was closed during our stay so we were forced to head into town. Once the room warmed up it took FOREVER to cool down, even with the windows open. I'd suggest not leaving the fireplace on very long. The coffee very weak, until we used bottled water in our room. Generally the cost of staying in the mountains. Wifi was a little slow when we could pick it up. Nothing. I am booking my next trip right away. Thin walls, heard a party going on until 2:30 in the morning below us. Didn't like that the fan comes on with the bathroom light, it's annoying enough in your own suite, but more annoying when you have to listen to every adjoining room's fans' come on all night long, and I wore ear plugs. Nothing. Was great stay. If I had to be picky maybe thin walls since could hear kids screaming next door every so often. bit noisy from other rooms. no affordable shopping, Grocery store is twice as much . Hotel felt tired and it did not have room safes valuables had to be left at reception. This was a inconvenience.
