Very welcoming staff at desk. We were travelling by motorcycle and were encouraged to park next to the front doors where desk staff could keep an eye on our motorcycle as well as others. Very comfortable beds. Air conditioning worked very well, very clean. Excellent food in the attached pub. Excellent staff in the pub as well. We had absolutely amazing service from the young woman who checked us in and she even remembered us when we stayed the second time a week later. Outstanding all around.

There was a funny smell in the bathroom but the staff were extremely helpful in trying to fix the issue.They phoned us as soon as we returned to our room to see if the problem was still there. Nothing. n/a. the restaurant has definitely gone downhill since last year when we stayed. Last year the food was excellent so we went back. This year was not so I would not go back to the restaurant. The dining area has changed and was way better before. Service in restaurant was slow to point of ridiculous - there was only 1 wait staff on, and she was clearly overwhelmed. It looks like they have have a hard time finding staff, as the front desk was also pushed past their limit. didn't like the 1st floor could here people on 2 nd floor.. Location about 50 feet from major very active train route making it very difficult to have a restful stay. Trains ran all night and were incredibly loud. Restaurant is experiencing huge issues with patrons leaving after waiting and not receiving food. Queen beds were NOT regular size beds. Internet service was slow, the pool/hot tub area could have longer hours (considering it is carded access I would recommend 24/7 service), hair salon wasn't open, coffee shop should be open earlier and on holidays... Understaffed, extra charge for cot, waited a very long time to check in, for dinner etc.
