The staff were very helpful, although letsbookhotel.com messed up on our reservation, so when we arrived there was no room for us that allowed pets. The staff actually asked others to move so we could stay there with our dog. Hotel was clean, and room service was great. Perfect location at a decent price. We have been staying here for more than 20 years. It is our home away from home. The motel has earned House Keeping awards for many years in a row. Many barbeques available for year round use. Nice picnic and play ground area. One person Swiss owner who is not out to price gouge.
all reviews » We like that it is off the main road & away from the railway, so it is very quiet. The rooms with a kitchenette are spacious & clean. It is one of our preferred stops. Great value for your money & the hot tub is an added bonus. I liked the location. Easy off the hwy and close to trail for walking and downtown access. I liked the budget friendly cost and being surrounded by the rockies. Also our dog friendly room had a full kitchen suite. I loved the room( it was an upgrade) & the location was great - so easy to walk around town. Having the kitchen was so nice since we could make our own food. They were very well stocked for towels & such. I liked the price in the area (1/2 the price per night compared to some nearby competition). I also liked the structure of the room, where there were two floors. It was much enjoyed by the children. Excellent value and comfort. Rooms appeared to be recently reno'd and the mattresses were the best. Of course the view from our balcony was spectacular! Would stay here again. Is a budget friendly location ,clean, magnific view, close to restaurants, shopping, Banff. Staff is great .I'm locking forward to stay here in winter. Staff helpful and friendly. Looked after some gear we left behind. Helped us with directions to the point of googling and printing them for us. Having a little kitchenette was nice for our little kids. the Family apartment was cozy and fun to play games and relax. I liked the loft style 1 bedroom apartment for the privacy with our teenage daughter. The room was well equipped with a coffee maker, microwave, kettle, toaster plus plates and cutlery. We travelled with our pet basset hound and the hotel allows dogs. We appreciated this and the dog area. Price for the room and number of beds was good. Location. Location. Area. The tv in the living room was extremely small (like maybe 17") and there is no tv in the bedroom. The appliances are starting to get really old, and it would be great if they could provide things like salt and pepper in the kitchens. No complaints. The wifi was a little slow. Many pieces of equipment had their flaws. The shower head was leaking and it sprayed over top of the shower curtain, making the toilet area (where we put our clothes) wet. The toilet had some minor issues flushing. The air conditioning was leaking, though not to an extent where we couldn't handle it anymore. Some areas could be better maintained - there were many places that were dusted. Some blankets that are not always used, smelled mouldy. No complaints. Noisy boiler room under our room although we were offered a smaller quieter room to change to. No real dislikes here. It would have been nice if the spa room could have been open a little bit earlier. The couch was very uncomfortable and i needed binoculars to see the tv as it was smaller than my monitor of my PC at work. I almost forgot to wash the dishes. trouble with internet, and honestly we needed a movie channel. rooms were dated but in good condition. Pull out futon was a lumpy. Futon instead of a pull out bed. Parking stalls aren't all accessible. We couldn't park near our room even though two stalls were open. They were blocked off by two large trucks. This is minor and would not stop me from staying there again. the party in the next cabin which went on all night!. Railway close by. there was a really loud noise throughout the night that woke us up several times. I think it must have been the train, we could not tell but it was a horrible nights sleep!!!. The family room needs to have larger beds, for 6 people to sleep on. Pics on the website were a bit deceiving. Soundproofing could have been better, could here guests in next room. the weather - too inconsistent!. no breakfast. Nothing o any thing wrong. Catle didn't work. Pillow was too thick. Lights above bed very dangerous. There is no breakfast facility in in the hotel. Several restaurants are located nearby the hotel. On top of the bed is a low hanging light that I kept hitting my head on. The room whilst clean did not smell very fresh. The room was clean but dated. Beds where a little hard. The couch was a really uncomfortable cheap futon. Was pricey for small apartment.. Staff did not change sheets when cleaning room ... Loud, people were partying multiple nights midnight to 3am. Small cheap everything.
