  Wonderful and accomodating staff, clean and comfortable rooms, many amenities and enjoyable features. Loved the library!! - we really enjoyed having the use of the mineral pool and the hot tub,very relaxing.

  Gem in the forest! My family is 5 people with 1 infant travelling from Thailand for 10days in Canada. This is the most impressive hotel we stay in Canada because of its style & location! Unlike lake louise that seems to be so popular, Emeral lake is a gem in Banff that we mostly recommended. Even it's 1hr from Lake Louise, it's worth visiting!... what people say » We went there during winter (mid of Apr) so the Emerald lake become frozen and cover with the snow. There seems to be only our family in the whole ar - Buffalo Mtn. Lodge is the perfect model of hospitality, comfort and convenience. We have stayed at the Lodge several times over the past eight years and this time we were more impressed than ever. The room was made ready early for us c/w a gratuitous newlywed gift. Their personnel were more welcoming and competent than we had come to expect. The rooms have been updated recently, but stay true to their frontier charm.   We had a great view of the mountains in Banff from our room. The hotel is up out of the townsite, so you feel like you are in nature. The room itself was modern and roomy. The hotel was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful with any questions we had. It was quiet and peaceful, which is what we wanted on this trip. - I received a call fro... what people say » m the front desk about an hour after I checked in to see if there was anything I needed, it was a nice touch. Also, the shampoos, creams and soap products were very nice quality and natural. Free use of the fitness facilities, pool area and free WiFi, was another bonus.

  Theresa and James were excellent hosts and very helpful... the house itself is clean, quiet, and very relaxing. Can sit by the fire and read a book or if it's nice, sit outside on the deck (which we didn't get to because it was a little cold). Breakfasts are delicious!
