  We had to cancel our original two nights hotel booking in Banff due to the Hwy 1 road closure caused by the disastrous flooding. We had to change our itinerary and travel through Red Deer to get to Jasper/Banff. We were so glad that we booked into The Hidden Ridge Resort instead (the hotel previously booked and cancelled didn't have a vacancy on t... what people say » he new dates)! A beautiful mountain cottage/chalet setting with a stunning view, a spacious and very well equipped one bedroom apartment was a nice ch - The view from the hot tub and warm pool. The staff were excellent and very friendly and helpful. The condo was lovely too! The kitchenette was a great thing to have to cook our own food and the BBQ was very nice to use. The inexpensive long distance phone fee was awesome as was the free parking and free shuttle bus into Banff (not to mention the free coffee and hot chocolate in the lounge/lobby all day)

  From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, the entire staff treated us exceptionally. They are all professional, respectful, and they treated my daughter like a queen. The hotel itself is amazing and fun to explore, especially in your slippers late at night. The view was a nice one...I'm sure there are better but I can't complain. We di - Jay was the first person we met there with the valet service provided. He was so friendly and nice and remembered our names each time we met him. He went out of his way to make us feel special and this made our first stay here memorable. Thank you Jay!   We love what Douglas Fir has to offer our two Granddaughters in terms of facilities(the pool, hot tub and play park). We had a one bedroom chalet which was perfect for us and Douglas Fir provided a playpen and highchair, which meant we did not have to pack them in the car. We love being able to take the bus for free, and we love the friendly staf... what people say » f, who always smile and give a warm and friendly greeting, and that includes all the staff we met either indoors or outdoors. We love seeing the wildl - The Waterslides and Indoor Playground were BIG hits with the kids!! The fireplace and free wood were most welcome. The surprisingly convenient and well-stocked store on site was also a welcome convenience. The full kitchen and nearby parking were very handy. The location is far enough from town that it is quiet at night, but a close bus ride, short drive, or half hour walk away from the Resort.

  We were upgraded to another suite on arrival and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the fixtures, fittings and furniture in our suite. Every thing was immaculately clean and it provided everything that you could possibly need for a pleasant stay. It had tennis courts , basketball nets, a sauna, indoor pool and hot tub and also an outdo... what people say » or hot tub. We found all staff members to be pleasant and helpful and customer service oriented and this makes for happy customers. Good job everyone. - It was close to the town but was quiet and peaceful although there were plenty of amenities if you wanted to make use of them. It would be a great place for families and was comfortable and clean. The staff were great and really helpful we were missing out tv remote and a member of staff brought one straight away when we called the reception. Breakfast was tasty and again the staff were friendly and helpful.

  restaurant was good and staff was excellent - We really enjoyed our stay and the closeness to all areas. The staff were wonderful, especially when we had a concern about the heat in our room, and the coffee machine was replaced quickly when discovered not working.

  The room was very large, clean and cozy. The room had a fridge, two comfortable chairs and a dining table, which we could use for snack or breakfast, a very large desk and a chair, which we could use for a computer. We appreciated that they kept extra blankets in the drawers because we prefer to sleep with extra blankets in lower room temperatu... what people say » re. The room was warm - the air conditioning was very powerful and it warmed the room almost instantly. The staff was great - a few days before our - Great hotel! Friendly staff, clean spacious rooms, kitchen, microwave... We've stayed at other places in Banff, and liked Irwin's the best. Most of the other places felt more like overpriced motel rooms, while Irwin's felt like a nice hotel. We got a great last minute deal on a room, and were pleasantly surprised by what a nice place it was. Also, pet fee was only $10.

  My wife and I travel yearly and Bumpers Inn has been truly the best motel we have stayed at. Lorna the front desk staff-whom I believe is the owner, is polite, professional and kind. We found her cleaning staff to be very friendly and approachable if you need supplies. The fridge was quiet and the two windows could both be easily opened. When I initially looked at th - Best Price in Banff! The rooms are 2x the size of the Fairmont and 1/3 the price. Rooms are aged but its a motel/motor inn so if you want a hot tub, gym and a place for the kids while you nurse your hangover this is not your place. if you want a place that is banff budget and choose to spend your money on enjoying your stay while in banff (skiing, restaurants, child care, hot springs) than pay the 80$ and don't expect anything more than a spacious room to sleep while you explore the area. very
