The cleanliness of the motel was excellent. The staff were extremely helpful even though we spoke very little French and they spoke little English. The shuttle bus to the whales was not Running so the motel owner kindly drove us to it, and helped us book the tour. (Zodiac boat if you're interested, up close & personal) the motel houses some animals including goats and husky dogs. Location is excellent. There was a fire pit that could be used. There is a shop down the road towards tadoussac,.
all reviews » This was my first motel experience and I think these guys have really spoiled me. I have stayed in 3-4 star hotels before and they were not as clean as this motel. The staff was super friendly though we didn't speak the language. It was very convenient to get to Tadoussac from this place. On our last night, we just built a fire and relaxed by the fireside. Its a fantastic deal for a motel. And, I think we might go stay with them again next year too. The warmth and helpfulness of the owners I respect greatly all the hard work the owners have invested in creating a simple, clean, comfortable amid up-to-date motel on their property This location in Baie-sainte- Catherine is much less touristy than Tadoussac and easier to access whale- watching facilities. I liked the cleanliness of the room, it was freshly remodeled; everything was brand new. The location was good, right next to a Whale watching outfitter. The pizzaria for dinner was a quick solution after traveling all day. Check in was very quick and the owner's were very friendly and helpful. Very close to Tadoussac, more economical, more wide open area. Was renovated after a fire, beds are new ! Fridge in room. Basic accommodation for the price. Didn`t hear traffic noise at all since rooms are further in from the highway. Other motel we stayed at before was not as quiet. Really excellent rooms, good beds, verry clean. Pizzeria looks old fashioned and a bit stale but delivers good food. pretty setting, friendly, helpful staff, good pizza(!), and nice grassy area with firepit, quiet and low-key. Nice large picnic area and kids playground, quiet rooms. The riverside is beautiful. Cleanliness. Staff, location, clean, playground for kids. Noting. There was no breakfast. The WiFi didn't work really in our room, 7. If possible ask to be closer to the kitchen area. Kitchen had no toaster. No kettle in room. This is my problem, not the owners, but the owners speak almost no English, so be prepared. They were very patient with me and with my few words of French and their few words of English,and a lot of hand signs, we did fine The wifi was somewhat unreliable. That there was no breakfast available in the morning. The air conditioning was very loud. Rooms should have more furniture (luggage stand). No breakfast in the motel. Breakfastrestaurant is available 5 min down the road. some things lacking- not as much amenities as a chain motel would have (ie. no cribs, etc). Nothing. No coffee machine anywhere. You have to pay for your coffee. No breakfast, No grocery nearby. air condition very noisy No air dryer No iron.
