I stay in many hotels both for leisure and business and the staff were perfect. The reception staff were faultless and very helpful and friendly. The porter were exceptional helping me park my car, moving it because the police had requested it to be removed during a rally taking place outside and with directions. Very nice. This is and excellent hotel in every single aspect!Absolutely impecable service by all the members of staff.In particular we would like to commend Mr. Ivo at the Concierge's Desk.We are very grateful for all the great service we received during our stay!!.
all reviews » The hotel is undergoing renovations for several months. Occasionally disrupted the flow of water supply which is very inconvenient. Besides, the location, the breakfast, the rooms and the rest were complete satisfaction. Sofia Grand Hotel is a true Radisson hotel. It means that you can trust it. Moreover: excellent location, professional and friendly staff good facilities good working conditions for business people. - The staff was extremely friendly and helpful - Location is superb - Junior suites with roof terrace are spectacular - Breakfast and room service are first class. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The room was spacious. We had a great view of the parliament. And the breakfast was fantastic!. Bedroom 218. Staff at the Front Desk on the Tuesday morning, who reacted promptly and appropriately when I complained about room 206. Perfect position in town. Room view on Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. Comfort. Is I had any criticism I would ask the restaurant staff to work the tables more and remove finished plates etc. to be honest he guy was working hard but the two girls were busy chatting at The bar. When we went they were doing construction so their gym was closed. They have partnered with a nearby gym, but that gym requires you to carry your gym shoes in. I assume once the construction is done the gym will be as nice as the rest of the hotel. (1) Bedroom 206. The first room I was allocated. Because of its size and the noise from the air conditioning it should not be used as a bedroom in a 5 star hotel. It might be appropriate in a 2 star, or maybe only in a 1 star hotel. It seemed that one of the main air- conditioning ducts for the hotel is up the side wall of room 206. (2) The leisure centre being out of action was a disadvantage. The Trinity Leisure centre is not up to 5 star hotel standard. Nothing. It was somewhat hazardous to go inte the bathroom. It was badly designed with the door turning inwards instead of outwards. The price is a liitle bit high for Bulgaria. Lunch or dinner takes more than 35 minutes. Service is very bad trained. Music at breakfast , lunch or dinner is very loud and inappropriate. Difficult to maintain a conversation. nothing. Hotel could not accept Radisson Gift Voucher - this was the reason I booked a Radisson. Too few towels for two guests sharing. Poorly maintained interior. With Radisson Blu tag this hotel should be at least two steps up comparing to other hotels from the chain i've been visiting before. We didnt have internet connection in the room. Taxi service. Equipment in the rooms is not in a good shape , the new lobby design is nont Don intelligently . Old furniture. Nothing. The TV set was not easy to understand. protests outsıde. some facilities need to be upgraded, the hotel was built in the 1990s and is beginning to show its age. The noise .... disco under or next to hotel... And till 4am I seemed to be bounching in my bed on some undefined beat. Very old/used and dirty carpet in the room!!!. No bar / cafe after scheduled dining. Expected more from minibar and breakfast buffet, roomservice food was at best average. terrace was unswept (perhaps plastic/paper had blown there from the other terraces). Specially booked this hotel for the business offices, this was closed. Invited customers in the hotel to have dinner together on tuesday evening, not possible because party was going on. Not 1 table was free for guest of the hotel to sit down and have a drink with your customers. They told me that I have to invite them to my room and I could order food and drinks at room service !!!. Not enough staff (waiting 30 minutes for check-out), spoons dirty at breakfast. room classification. I had to change twice to get a clean room. This hotel is not at the same standards as other Radisson Blu hotels in Europe. no gym or spa as stated NO RED WINE in whole hotel....unheard of anywhere in the world!!!!! Restaurant outside of building not part of the radisson?????so we could not charge to the room. Big grad party the night we checked in so no where to sit or eat!!!!!! Would not recommend hotel unless you are just passing through for the night!. Late checkout was not possible Very gay friendly personal Very small single room No pool for a 5 star hotel For me it is maximum 3 star.
