We went to check in and there had been an issue with the booking as the hotel was overbooked. The staff were excellent and very professional and actually moved us to another one of their hotel - the Windsor Leme - right on the beach. They took care of everything really quickly and efficiently. Priscilla, Juliana and Dyego were always helpful and had great suggestions for places to eat, tours, and even a laundromat. We really enjoyed our stay.
all reviews » The rooms were very small, basic but had everything I need. It was clean. The saff were helpfull and kind all time. The hotel is near copacbana beach and very close to public transportation including metro. The breakfast was very good and delicious. This is a 4 star hotel. Do not expect luxry. I recommend this hotel anyone who has limited budget but looks for the best possible options and values. 1) Staff was extremly kind and available and spoke very good english 2) The position is great, only 100 meters to Copacabana beach and next to the famous Copacabana Palace Hotel 3) The building was quite new, which is a big plus for Rio,thus providing good quality services and overall cleanness 4) Excellent breakfast 5) Close to public transport (bus + metro). The bed was the most comfortable I have had in Brazil in 4 years. The internet was the fastest of any hotel I've stayed in and it was free. The shower got really, really hot which was great. Great pressure, too. Friendly staff. Booked me the wrong size bed originally, changed immediately with no problem. Friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms-they were doing the room cleaning even at 4pm, if you weren't out of the room by that hour, excellent breakfast: good variety of food, fresh fruits and natural juices. Shower was a little small so I kept hitting the nozzle on accident. That we had to leave. the rooms are a bit on the small side, which is surprising for a new hotel. Standard room and bed were a bit small, but for couple of days is ok. No ice machine on floor (minor, but you asked!). Able to hear hallway noise easily in morning (but needed to get up anyway to enjoy more of Rio!). We were given a very small room overlooking a dim courtyard but it was very quiet. Very slow elevator. overpriced, but that's rio. Prece of food and minibar. A smal bottle of mineral water cost R$ 4,50 (reais = USD 2.3) extremelly expensive considering the price at a nearby market. Mattress: It is not orthopedic at all. It is too soft/flacid. Gave me back ache. it does not have a rooftop terrace with view of copacabana and we were not allowed to use the one of the sister hotel windsor atlantica either. Not applicable. No swimming pool. No real personality (just International business design a bit old fashion) Room very small for the standard. Had an early check in, 09.30 and they charged me half day extra. Reason for me not to come back.
