Many of the staff spoke english, and were attentive to my questions. Recife is a beautiful town with lots to do and lots of history.   Right from the start this was a great experience with a gracious, welcoming check-in process. The room was spacious and clean with very comfortable beds, good linens and towels, and a great view of Boa Viagem beach. The food ordered up from room service was excellent, as was the great breakfast buffet (cafe da manha) they served. HIGHLY RECOMMEND - Front desk staff were helpful. Rooms were good, I stayed twice. Not new and immaculate, but quite good. Elevators were having some glitches. The breakfast was quite good.

  We loved the Pousada do Vale, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was fantastic (fish night is a real treat) and although the bed was uncomfortable the rooms were nicely decorated and very clean! Their gardens are beautiful but beware the mozzies! The personal is really friendly and helpful, they organize everything for you (diving/buggy/sightseeing trips and more). Only Gustavo who is there in the afternoon is speaking English, so some phrases are good to know in Portuguese. The rooms are nice
