This was our best stay in Bolivia!!! Fantastic location and beautiful clean rooms with the best showers ever. We planned to stay for only 2 days but stayed for 4. We made great new friends here and just enjoyed every minute of our stay. The staff were very helpful and the whole place has a great admosphere. It's a quiet hostal that really felt like home. We would defenitely recommend this place to anyone we meet. Fantastic!!!. all reviews »
This place is excellent.
Beautifully hidden away just a 5 minute walk from the main square of Sucre. Great breakfast, great HOT showers and friendly staff especially Juaquin who is always willing to help you out and is a credit to the hostel.
I stayed here for a week and extended my stay for another 2 weeks as I enjoyed the place so much...
Casarte Takubamba is a really great hostel to stay in. The 3-bed dorm is like a hotel room, with plenty of space and no bunk beds! The white courtyard and the garden areas, both hung with artworks are also really pretty, definitely not standard hostel-fare. Best of all, the staff are lovely, so friendly and helpful.
I would definitely recommend this hostel, friendly staff, great rooms, super clean and a really good atmosphere around the place. I've stayed in a lot if hostels in South America and this really is up there with the best of them.
Spacious bedroom and big bed.
Friendly staff and nice garden common area. Very clean, relaxing environment and beautiful art works everywhere.
Good hostel. Few hundred meters from central square. Sucre itself is highly recommended - the best city that we visited in Bolivia.
Best hostel in 8 months of travel. Great staff, super clean facilities, great location, yum breakfast - even fresh juice!.
Large comfortable bed in large dorm room, hot water, lovely breakfast area and garden to relax in, very helpful hosts.
A very nice place to stay in walking distance from the city centre. The staff was very friendly.
Really friendly staff, great room, great facilities and excellent yard, excellent breakfast.
The breakfast is fine, but perhaps can be served a little earlier than 8 in the moring.
Very clean, spacious room and bathroom, quiet.
Excellent! I highly recommend!.
The staff were super friendly and helpful. Good layout of the hostel and
breakfast decent for bolivia.
Nothing!!.
Nothing!.
Having breakast in the garden area was a bit chilly when the sun wasn't shining. You are under cover, but inside would be cosier on dull days.
We couldnt use the facilities to cook inside and we had to use the kitchen in the garden. Breakfast was average (bad coffee). Poor wi-fi reception everywhere.
We removed painting from our room's wall because it was scary:).
Bathroom was a bit on the small side, but for a short stay not an issue and given the price still great value.
The price quoted at letsbookhotel.com did not include VAT (though this was mentioned in the description), so a little confusion ensued when we we're paying our stay. So watch out for that. I think they should quote the real price on this site in the first place.
internet connection in rooms barely worked - had to use it in central living room.
It's about 10mn. walk from the City centre. And it's a little more expensive than other hostels, however, I think it worths it.
2 major criticisms: good to have heating but it cannot be turned down so
at night it was far too hot which impacted sleep. I'm afraid the
place is not very clean. We even found used underwear in our
bathroom...not pleasant.
