There was always a good atmosphere.The staff and management were most welcoming,and I would certainly stay there again. The staff is amazing, especially Tina!. Great staff, they accept credit cards. I really liked the location, everything was very close and easy to get anywhere.Wide selection of beers in the hotelbar with kind service.Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Good location.

The gracious hospitality of the hostess who checked me in, including having my room made ready early (since I had come in by an overnight plane). People were nice and very helpful. Good location. Breakfast was nice and had a restaurant and bar that was part of the hotel, which is rare for small hotels. Overall it was okay, and I may stay there again. Really liked the owner, and she tried very hard to make it all work.Check in was quick and efficient. All staff, from reception to housekeeping, were very friendly. I stayed here during Rock Werchter and the room was ready early on during the day so I could drop off my bags before heading to the festival. Location; bar. Main entrance closed when the pub is closed (Sundays, holidays) meaning one cannot leave the luggage after checking out on these days. On days when pub is open there is a disturbing noise from downstairs. Room was very cold- the weather turned cold and rainy and the heating was off (beginning of May). Breakfast a bit on the modest side, e.g. no tea only coffee.bar closed sunday, smoking allowed in some areas. Very noisy room above bar and on street front, so if this annoys you then ask for back rooms.Near the window were many spider from the street side. Noisy because of other guests.very noisy room towrds the street with many busses driving right under the window. Problematic especially in hot days. Qulity of room goog be better. Very dated! The bar was in better nick than the bedrooms. no place for bicycles. Fairly basic room facilities. Noisy (streetside room) - no airco, so had to open the window for air, but there was really a lot of street noise during the night. Very basic room, old and weary look. The downstairs bar was extremely smoky - breakfast is served in the same room. Staff in the reception spoke little English. Room is ready only after 3pm and the checkout is at 10.Lots of noise from both outside the hotel and more so from other guests. Sound insulation between rooms was almost zero. The lobby and breakfast restaurant is used as a pub where everyone is smoking. My non-smoking room was at least free of smoke.Room in a poor condition. Poor standard of decoration and in a state of deterioration. Bathroom in poor condition unpleasant to use. Dangerous electrical socket is unrepaired. I wouldn't like to be there if there was a fire. Breakfast offering was not sufficient. Not good value for money.

Travelling information

Leuven has a beautifully preserved mediaeval city centre and lies in the heart of Europe, only twenty minutes by car or train from Brussels and the International Airport, within reach of all European capitals.

By car:
- E40 "Leuven-Hasselt-Genk"
- follow direction "Leuven", underneath the bridge “Kapucijnenvoer” until you reach the “Brusselsestraat”, there you turn right, the hotel lies on your left hand side.

By train:
Leuven is easy to reach by rail from all over Belgium, from the airport there is a direct train that takes you in about 15 minutes to the city. From Brussels it is a journey of about 30 minutes.
From the station head towards the “Bondgenotenlaan”, follow this street until the end, cross the “Grote Markt”. Walk straight to the “Brusselsestraat”, after about 100m you will find our hotel on the right hand side.
