From the minute we stepped inside Dewaterzooi we loved it. We were met with a welcome drink and sat down at the table with the owners who told us what Ghent had to offer. Our room was lovely, looking out over the old castle walls and onto the bustling square below. Beautiful rooms, stylish design. We stayed in Graaf Van Vlaanderen Room (Executive Double Room) and Modern Room (Deluxe Double Room with Balcony). Both are cosy.
It's nice to sit by a fireplace with a beer. :)

Unique! Lovely big room. Interesting lighting. Very comfortable. WiFi good. Air con welcome as we visited during a hot spell. Good breakfast. Private parking, though a short walk away. Generally quiet (though see downside). Very convenient for old quarter. Didn't use TV (huge) nor fire as too short a stay / summer, but nice to have. Would return.

This is a real statement, not a fake.
I stayed there 2 nights for business reasons. Kurt, the owner was really concerned about every aspect of my stay. I saw him with some other customers doing exactly the same. The best treatment for his customers in every detail is a personal thing for him.

Amazing room with a great host. Our stay was extremely pleasant, hard to choose between the room, breakfast and the shower facilitations as the highlight of our stay. Kurt gave us very useful tips on sights & local restaurants. Both the rooms and general areas were built and decorated with care and passion resulting in modern and very comfortable Bed & Breakfast whilst staying true to the origin of the building.

The Bed and Breakfast is absolutely beautiful, huge rooms and very comfortable. The owners were lovely, relaxed and friendly, breakfast was great, and we had access to the kitchenette downstairs which was very handy.
