We have stayed at this hotel a number of times before. We like itslocation, its parking, and of course its excellent breakfasts. This timeunfortunately my wife and I brought with us the Noro virus which isincredibly debilating, we must praise the exceptional kindness andunderstanding shown by the management and staff during our stay. We weregenuinely made to feel like family. The value for money is still second to none, car parking is very good, the staff are excellent,breakfast must be the best in town. We have stayed in this hotel a number of times before and intend to return. Please be aware that this is an older style hotel and has great character, it is not a typical modern euro box establishment and may be not to every persons taste,however we love it.all reviews »
Good central location. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere and helpful staff. Staff were very engaging. Wanted to know what interests we had and very helpful in providing local information that helped us decide how we could best spend our time in the area. there was a bottle of water and parking. Clean, comfortable seaside hotel. Bathroom recently refurbished and very clean. Excellent shower. Breakfast reasonable cold buffet selection.central. proximity to restaurants and beach front, parking and easy to find as we have been there 3 times before. new tv inroom, good position in town. Location excellent / staff polite and helpful. Some rooms maybe a little small. Some of the rooms maybe a little small.No tea/coffee making facilities in room. needs refurbishing. we were woken up by kids running up and down the corridor at 6am plus they were knocking on our door and wall - parents did nothing - due to the easter break the whole hotel seemed to be full of very young children - plus no door on the toilet/bathroom ie no privacy, no bathplug and the room often stank of a sewer type smell - we have stayed 3 times before but it now looks as if it needs updatin. Room poorly decorated,scruffy. Room very poor value / shower broken and very poorly sited , with pooraccess./not a comfortable room at all.

In our cosy restaurant there is a daily menu available at noon and in the evenings, made from fresh local products largely purchased from local farmers.
The large breakfast buffet includes 3 kinds of bread, crispy rolls, oven-fresh croissants, meats, De Moerenaar cheese, fresh apple juice, orange juice, traditional jams, various cereals, chocolate spread and eggs. Hot drinks are brought to the table.
We have a cosy bar which is open from 8:00 to 22:00 at the latest. Specialities are a large assortment of fresh tea and a wide range of Geuze and Kriek beer.
Important information to guests
Dogs are allowed, but you cannot leave them alone in the room.
Information about the area
The beautiful, wide beach and the centre of the village are only 50 metres away. You can easily reach other coastal villages by tram, as well as the theme park Plopsaland.
De Panne is situated in the west of Belgium, at a short distance from Bruges and the French border. In other words, this is an ideal location for exploring the border region in the fresh air.
