Delightful and magicial can be used to describe both the Hotel Egmond and Bruges. The hotel has a wonderful location on the edge of a large park. It is a reasonable walk from the train station and to the center of Bruges. The staff was efficent, friendly and helpful. There are several good dinning choices just a short walk away. the personal feel of the place.... felt like a family run hotel, building is lovely in a lovely setting. all reviews »

No - except perhaps the rain outside.Price. Charming but small bedrooms and tiny shower room.breakfast nothing to write home about. Mosiquitoes! The hotel is on Minnewater which is great during the day, but you can get bitten at night. Hotel did provide bug screens for the windows which was good. Insect spray provided in hallway. Wasn't a problem.Common areas could have been a little cleaner. I did not know there were no lifts in the hotel, but the manager took our luggage to our room so it was not a problem.The cleaning, especially in the toilet, was not up to standard. Room very tiny for the price ( 6 m²). Too many mosquitoes and damp room.
