We did have a room with a very nasty, persistent "drainy" smell coming from the bathroom area which was not resolved by the hotel owners during our stay, although in fairness they did offer us an alternative room. We declined this as we liked being on the top floor with lovely views !!. The staff were not very friendly or approachable. I had booked the hotel about two months in advance. I had booked for a double but on arrival we were given a twin room. The hotel was not busy, however, we did not feel we could approach the manager and pushed the beds together. It was very disappointing.Service not brilliant, didn't replace shampoo, towels on second night, couldn't get a drink after 10:45 pm. It needs a face renovation. Kettle, teamaking facilities in room would have been welcome (we are English, after all!). Room was cold.No tea coffee facilities in the room.pillows were small and hard. Hotel front door was locked when we arived back from a walk at 21.15pm,Bar was also closed.Would have liked fridge in room and tea/coffee making facilities.

Our excellent and extensive buffet breakfast(8=>10h) - always included in the room price - is a surprisingly pleasant beginning of the day, even fot those guests hardest to please.
In the cosy bar you can try different local beers and non-alcoholic beverages or coffee or tea.

Important information to guests

Private parking garage on-site is available upon request (reservation is required). Please note that parking in the centre of Bruges is not recommended as the city is compact and parking time restrictions are applicable in different zones. Parking is paid in the city centre from 09:00 til 20:00 and underground car parks are also available. A large car park next to Bruges railway station costs EUR 3.50 per day and includes a bus transfer to a park and ride area just outside of the city centre for 4 persons.

Next to our standard double and twin rooms we offer family rooms, triple rooms and large double rooms. Some of the family rooms and larger double rooms have a magnificent view over the canal.
