I live just across the road from the Zeemanshuis and booked a room while some renovation work was taking place in the house. I really enjoyed my stay! It was very interesting to see the variety of guests staying there, from tourists to sailors. I have heard that the hotel is due to be leveled and replaced with shops. I was against this before, and now I support the Zeemanshuis even more passionately! This is a great institution which is important to the local community and represents the char - Anonymous

Zeemanshuis is a simple, down to earth hotel much like a college dorm. You would be hard pressed to find a better rapport qualite/prix. I have payed much more and gotten much less elsewhere. I don't need chocolates on my pillow. - Ken

Excellant customer relationship, the receptionst's(Vincent,Harry?) on duty helped to arrange alternative accomodation in Amsterdam,due to national train strike on sunday 5th October. Heidi, the bar staff stand in had to cover numerous duties during her shifts and i never heard her complain about the predicament faced by her over the amount of work she covered during her shift. - William

Friendly staff, good location, quiet, nice breakfast, possible to get lunch and dinner. Very friendly staff in the bar. WIFI in all public areas at a reasonable charge. Will definitly be staying there again. - Magne
