Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms were fantastic with beautiful views. Excellent standards in rooms with all modern facilities. As well as all this the food was great at the restaurant with excellent service. Excellent location with plenty of activities. Very highly recommend and a place we intend to visit again in the future. The staff was very friendly and spoke English well. The Guesthouse had a great supper and the breakfast offering was excellent. An elevator is available for ease of luggage and the rooms were very nice and charming.

Excellent location (middle way fromcenter of Zell Am See to Kaprun) for those who want to travel each dayto a new direction in the area (by bike, especially). Not too manybuildings around, as in Kaprun or Zell am See - so you can feel more inthe countryside than in the city. I arrived very late and they do not have open reception by night, but they helped me by putting signs and leaving the key (and some printed instructions), so I could easily accommodate. We haven't came forstaying in the hotel room, but to enjoy the surroundings... :O). Thehotel is nearby the road from Zell am See to Kaprun (high traffic inaugust!). We had the room on the opposite side of the building (thewindow to the swimming pool); we heard no street noise. I stayed there in beginning of December and the traffic on the nearby national road was not so heavy. It may be a little disturbing for sensible people - in peak season.It was quite noisy because of a road near by the hotel and poor quality of glass panes. The hotel is located on the main road, if you get a room facing the road, traffic noise starts around 6am. Not a problem if you're used to it.-no fridge. itcould be better if people will not smoke in the dining room. thank you very much any way. The traffic can be a bit disturbing some times. Towels weren't changed, although we stayed 5 days. There was no information about leaving the towels on the floor for example, to changed them. Not enough space for non-smoking in the restaurant during breakfest. Loud main street with big traffic.Single room at Gletscherblick pretty small (but beautiful view), location on busy road (but all area is). no wireless internet in room. Main courses were traditional, home cooked and generally excellent. Soups were good, but salad was unimaginative and desserts manufactured. Proximity to quite busy road makes the place a little bit noisy.location was a bit far from central Zell am See, but this was a minor inconvenience as we had a car, but not sure how those without would fair. Fairly busy road runs next to the hotel. Can keep you awake if light sleeper.Dark halls, registration desk closes relatively early. out of town. You probably need earplugs because heavy traffic road goes really near of the hotel. And flyswatter if you want to eat in hotel's restaurant because there were huge amount of flies. =). A little bit out of Zell am see but that is not their fault.some stuff did not speak English, sauna was in another building opposite the main street, that was noisy. Nope.Traffic noice in the front rooms.The bed blankets are small. Room Heathing on arrival to chill. The hotel situated closed to noise road. there is not carry guy !.

In the summertime we offer free bike rental to our guests and use of our outdoor pool (in July and August).

In the wintertime there is a free toboggan rental and a ski lift at 500 metres from the houses. Ski bus stops in front of the houses. Once a week the hotel holds fondue or a buffet night.

By car - from Germany:
Motorway Munich - Salzburg (A 8) : exit at Siegsdorf (B306) then take the Inzell (B312), then via Lofer (B311) and Saalfelden. Before Zell am See, take the tunnel Schmittentunnel for about 5 km. Exit the tunnel and turn right direction Kaprun/Mittersill. At the traffic lights, carry on straight ahead for about 500 meters, then you will find the hotel on your right side: Gasthof Tauernstüberl.
