Wonderful hotel for anyone who is not looking for luxury. We stayed 6 days, the rooms are cleaned every day. Good location, near the metro station, in 10 minutes you are in the city center. For breakfast more than enough over 5 different meals for breakfast, I think that even at home you do not eat anything more special than that. Staff friendly and always willing to give information and help. Parking is free and in the morning when guests check out at least 3 parking spaces are available, alth.
all reviews » It was my third stay in this hotel. next time I'll choose the same because: (1) its location: it is close to Vienna Intenational center, the Old Vienna can be reached by subway in only a few minutes, a lot of shops, restaurants and pubs are inside walking distance; (2) the staff is very helpfull and friendly; (3) the breakfast is excelent; (4) excelent view to the Old Danube; (5) it is clean and there is hot water no matter the hour and the temperature in the room is adequate to the season; (6). we asked for the quiet room and got it, even with great view of the city. very good breakfast. parking is for 20 cars and we did not have any problems with it. excellent location with U1 directly to Stephans and Karlsplaz. Donau shopping zenrum - very close and excellent for shopping. Billa supermarket just across the street. from 14.00 untill 22.00 - dinner is served directly in the hotel. highly recommended hotel for individual travellers and young groups. Very good location. Unexpected was the discovery of a city small beach, just 100m from the hotel, where you could swim in Alte Donau. Important during really hot days spent in Vienna, especially because of no air conditioning in the hotel. The buffet was good, with a real (not instant) coffee, of quite good quality. The hotel is so close to the center that it was possible to commute two times during the day with a break for a shower and a nap.Excellent value for money, there's nothing to criticise for a hotel at that price. I don't understand other negative comments, which I read before going there and which I found exaggerated. Obviously this is no 5 star hotel, what did they expect for such a price ?! Yet it's more than comfortable enough if you're there for two or three nights, not the most central hotel, but quite close to the UN if you're going to work there. Fantastic Staff! I really couldn't praise them more!!! I'd had a nightmare trip to Europe and arrived at the hotel in tears, they provided comfort and advice and continued this high level of friendliness throughout my whole stay. Iam a muslim, and the hotel to recieve a muslims guist especially from the Arab region at Vienna international center, so it must be add and connect water with the toalit base for cleaning instedof clenix paper tiussues. I was close to a very nice track by the river where I went running. I could go by foot to the office, to a large shopping center and to the underground station. Wi - fi is slow, do not expect too much especially after 21 h, it is best to go down to the hotel lobby and finish whatever you have on the internet. Do not expect too much, mail, possibly Skype if the connection is fast. Hotel should think about putting carpet in the hallways because of the guests arriving late at night and hear the casters of their suitcases. The free wlan internet (+) is a little bit slow (-). The street-side rooms are loud. On hot days You can choose if you do not sleep because of noise or of heat - closing windows makes the temperature hard to stand. There are only 21 parking places on the parking lot, while the number of rooms is well over 150. Fortunately finding a free parking place nearby is not a problem. Can be noisy so bring your earplugs if you're a light sleeper like me. That's all, really... Wifi was a bit patchy. Drinking water not provided in room. - No air condition make it uncomfortable especially in summer. - Internet was not reliable. - need refrigerator. My stay was very short and for now I do not have any reservation about the hotel. I think for now everything is simply good. Small rooms but OK for the price. Slow Wifi internet, requires new password every night. Noisy street nearby, crowdy breakfast area in the peak times due to tourist groups, WLAN coverage not everywhere (but it's free and it works in the lobby). WiFi hardly worked .. The staff should provide more information upon check in .. I also believe it makes clients more happy when warmly welcomed .. some rooms overlook not the river but the Mcdonald's back yard and the street. Can be a bit loud. No AC in the rooms but it's ok in spring. . the breakfest could be better, there are no eggs to start with. Internet is free, but you need to ask for access parameters every day, and usually the throughput is dramaticly low during whole day except during the night. There is no fast foods or restaurants nearby (except McDonalds). Early breakfest (6:30 - 10:00) and in 10:00 you dont have chance to eat, they smash food in a minute, should be more flexible. Some noise from nearby rooms & corridoor. Floor tiles do NOT absorb sound!. Broadband was in name only - it just was not responding in the bedroom or the lobby area. We requested another couple of pillows at 16.15, but housekeeping closed at 4pm. So no additional pillows. There are some floor tiles cracked in the circulation areas, but not a hazard as yet. Wifi was very very slow, the password use to expire every day. ! Get-in hour is 15-00 ! I was accommodated at 14-00, though I warned that my arrival will be at 12-00. Room was not ready, but they were doing their best to speed up. Noisy cross road. Strange malfunction of Wi-fi. Speed is 54 Mb/s, but stability! Mysterious. There was no real temperature control in the room that I could find. The WiFi is ridiculously slow - practically unusable. Can't rely on it. Wifi signal not strong enough to operate in our room. The internet connection. Was really bad and unreliable. While the rooms were ok (recently renovated), the interior of the halls looked like an old communist cold type of architecture. We had to pay extra 10 eur for a baby crib. Rooms are not children friendly -there are tiles on the floor that can be rather dangerous for the little ones. You need to have luck with the staff. There are some nice ones. But for example the girl in the morning, to whom we gave keys when leaving, didn't even say bye/thx for staying/anything of this sort. Rather shocking. WiFi was so slow as to be unusable for much of the time. The WiFi internet was mostly unusable. The Wifi was weak, could not connect during peak hours and at 3.00am the connection was still slow. You have to lift your suitcases, 4 steps from the street to the lobby and then again, 10 steps from lobby to elevator. I dont think they have wheelchair access, if you need this ask before you book. Problems with WiFi. Poor connection. The rooms facing the street are noisy. Nothing bad to say.. Asked for a baby crib upon check-in, but they could not help us because there were no housekeeping staff on duty for the rest of the day. Would have expected a manager or someone to help, so a bit disappointed by that... I really do hope that the management of the hotel would consider adding the laundry (dry clean) service to the list of services they offer because that is the only thing missing in this great hotel. Sometimes weak signal on wireless (depends on the room). Internet is terrible, reminded me of ancient dial-up! Smoky bar downstairs could be noisy if on a lower floor. Front desk staff not very helpful. Nothing in particular. This is not a place where one can enjoy, it is budget and very basic hotel for night or two nights stay. the fittings are getting worn out with constant use. Mass make-over / repairs will soon be required. WiFi did not work with Apple products. unusable Wi-fi too few tables for the breakfast. internet at night slows to crawl, or worse; sort odd to have the shower in the room with the bed, rather than in bathroom with toilet; not many restaurants nearby. One needs to get internet access coupon daily and this was surely avoidable (and should be addressed). Wireless internet connection is very slowly. if window is open it's a bit noisy, traffic..
