all reviews » I spent a week in Vienna in November with my adult daughter and had a wonderful stay at the Sans Souci. The staff was terrific. They welcomed us warmly, patiently answered our many questions, and overall made our stay very pleasant. The intimacy of the hotel appealed to us, and the location was great. We walked to almost everything, and the u-bahn and tram were at the doorstep for anyplace else. There are restaurants nearby; we ate at the hotel-recommended Cafe Biedermeier twice, in fact. Havin. I liked the design Furniture in each bedroom, The Staffs at reception were extremely helpful and very child friendly. As we travelled with young children, we requested a family connecting room and they managed to change our room on the 2nd night. On our last night they specially ordered a baby bath for our daughter as it was not available in the hotel. The hotel is very design orientated and the breakfast was excellent. The location was excellent, right acroos the Museum Qurartier and next to t. Beautifully situated in the Museum Quarter, the hotel is well placed with most major sites a short walk from the front door. Transport in Vienna is accessible and when you return from a busy day, this hotel is excellent. My room was spacious, clean and very well designed. The staff were fantastic and had I stayed longer, I would definitely have made use of the pool and spa. Would be hard pushed to stay anywhere else having tried this place. Everything about this hotel was splendid! The staff were excellent, the breakfast was delicious with plenty of yummy choices, including freshly prepared eggs of your choosing and the rooms were fabulously comfortable and state of the art. The spa was the best part, especially the pool which my husband and I had all to ourselves! We will be coming back again for sure!!!. - great location close to underground and many of the sights are easily in walking distance - pool/spa is beautiful space. Choice of sauna, saunarium and steam room is lovely - staff very willing to help - lovely breakfast - was worth the money paid, however I do believe there are other hotels for lower cost that would give you just as pleasant a stay. the staff were superb. i complained about lack of a coffe maker in the room , they quickly put a nice Nespresso machine in my room. The swimming pool was 20 meters long and very attractively designed. The toilet had heated seat and i think the bathroom floor was also heated. They had a lot of nice hip decorative touches in the room. Staff were very friendly to us and our little kid throughout our stay. Room was clean and spacious, bathroom had nice amenities (also for the kid!). Breakfast was wonderful. Location is walking distance to the city centre and on the corner is a metro station with two lines. In short: a great place to relax and explore Vienna!. I thought the staff were brilliant. Negatives: > Breakfasts: around 8:30 to 9:30 am the staff gets overwhelmed in waiting on tables and keeping the selection of foods stocked on the breakfast counter; some of the waits for tea, coffee, eggs, etc. were annoying > Bathroom: small leak under bathroom sink in Room 212. Nothing!. There should be free complimentary mineral water in the room. A dvd player would be handy as the movies selection was limited. There was some drilling above our room as I believed they were converting some rooms to have connecting facility which will be family friendly to stay. however no where to sit around the pool and relax. Not a big deal if all you want to do is go for a swim. Also not enough space for more than 4 people at one time. just lack of a coffee machine the first night. Nothing. Would definitely stay there again. Also a great location. Expensive parking. The parking was a slight problem as we had a hard time figuring it out at first. You just drop your car right out front in a very small space that looks like it is part of the road and not the front entrance of the hotel. After that there was no problem as there was usually staff working the door and collected your car immediately. Room was large, but fairly standard fittings and poorly laid out. The desk was placed rather strangely and made accessing the wardrobe difficult. As it was fixed there was no way to alter this. Also the leg space in the desk was rather narrow, so narrow that the chair they provided could not be placed under the desk, further restricting the access to the wardrobe. Doors to the bathroom difficult to open from inside. May be a little bit over priced. On February 7, I was awakened in the morning by very loud construction noises (pounding of hammer, I think). It was 7:22 am in the morning when the construction work began; I had planned to sleep late that day, so was disappointed and a bit surprised. This had nothing to do with the desk staff, who were great. I hope that in the future, this hotel can hire construction workers who will keep the noise down in the early morning. Nothing really it was all pretty fine although the mattresses and pillows were not really fantastic. Only tea is complimentary in room, which is slightly disappointing. We did not find any. Nothing at all unless I was going to be very pedantic. No gripes at all. The stay was too short... Boiler and stuff for tea addicts in the room, but no coffee for us regular people ? Come on... No complementary Water in rooms, Tiled floors in the corridors made them quite load and rooms could be sound proofed more. Nothing. Rooms are a bit small ( even the double luxury ). Service during breakfast was little bit slow and variety of food was not good for children. The two elevators make private rides for apartment owners on the top floors which can lead to waiting time in busy hours. The weather was hot and I found the doona too much at night. I requested a top sheet however it didn't materialize. I think the staff member struggled to understand what I meant. Nice from a to z. Nothing to add here. The Hotel gives a free bottle of champagne to whomever books a room through its own site, while it does say nothing when booked through other ways. Not correct and mind the tariff as the change rapidly.
