I and my husband stayed 4 nights at the hotel on 25.04-29.04 2013. We love it. The staff is very friendly, the parrot which is in front of the reception is sweet. :) Location is great. It is just 5 min.walk to Hietzing metro station and very near to Schonbörn Palace and also restaurants, cafes,shopping..etc. The room is very big. There is a dressing room and living area. I really had a great holiday in Vienna and the hotel. I strongly recommend that you should stay in this hotel. Also price is.
all reviews » Location in pleasant Hietzting, near Schoenbrunn and U-bahn is very good. The clean beds in de rooms 404 and 405 are good, better than in many other hotels. Sufficient parking lots under the hotel (19,20 per day). People in the hotel were helpfull. We have taken a very good breakfast at a bakery outside, in front of the hotel (did not try the hotel). Big and clean, quiet room with separate wardrobe. Perfect location at the gate of beautiful Schönbrunn park and castle. 2 minutes walk to u- Bahn (10 minutes to the old city). Several restaurants and bars within 50m distance. Helpful personnel (except for 1 lady). Easy parking at the garage. For its price the hotel is excellent. Clean rooms, tv, nice window view to the yard, a lot of shops and restaurants near. 5 min walking to subway and to park Schonbrunn. Very close to the zoo.) very friendly Russian speaking administrator! And parrot!). The is a white parrot at reception with a large bird house!. Although the location seemed to us a little bit far from city center, we discovered that it was really near the amazing Schönbrunn Place. The place for the breakfast was beautiful. We we lucky that we had a breakfast in terrase. The staff were very accommodating with all our requests. The location is great, its proximity to the 'Schoenbrunn Park & Palace' is fantastic, and the quick access into the city via tram or underground is also very helpful. Humming noise until 23:00 (when the neon sign of the "Palmers" shop is switched off), a shrug of shoulders by the lady at the front desk was the only reaction to may complaint. Luckily the noise ceased at 2300... Hopefully Palmers will repair its sign soon. Only one very serious minus: there is no electric kettle in the room or any boiler in the hotel.( We were traveling with baby and we needed boiled water very much. The older lady in the breakfast room was a bit of a 'seargent major' in her mannerism, but one gets used to this as well. In general, one doesn't find Austrian staff in the service industry easily anymore....its mainly former Eastern Bloc emigrants.... Very thin blankets. Was a bit uncomfortable. - bathroom was kind of too small, nevertheless it;s enough for a shower - breakfast is actually good, but fruits and vegetables were lacking. The rooms probably haven't been refurbished since the 70s, carpets and furniture is not in great condition, although the sheets and bathroom were all clean. No air conditioning, and too much noise from the street. Carpet was dated but rooms were clean and room service was prompt and available at request. I think we can pay for the money during the letsbookhotel.com. But actually we must pay it in the hotel. This is really inconvenient. I couldn't connect to WiFi. wi-fi not so good. Ex. room 408 is much worse than room 319, and the price is the same. Reception area bit off puttin with damp smell and bird out of cage and newspaper all over the floor to catch his droppings :-(. It was difficult to find a parking spot. Location too noisy No lift to all floors (and no indication at ground floor level which floor the reception was on) No satellite TV. nothing. I would have liked a small electric kettle and sachets of coffee and tea, so that I could make myself a cup of coffee or tea in the morning or late at night. A sachet of shampoo would have been useful. Nothing. Room is rather smaller. Smaller than picture shown when making reservation. Nothing. There was no air conditioner in the room. Only staying one night!. No curtains in shower, making everything messy outside. breakfeast wasn't included. the mistakes in the final invoice. No airco.
