I travelled with my wife and we needed a comfortable appartment with a kitchen in a quiet place not far from the city center and with good transport infrastructure. Holiday Vienna Appartment at Enekelstrasse 7 met all our requirements. Moreover, the appartment was clean, well-furnished and cosy. all reviews » We stayed in Veitingergasse, Hietzing and the location was fabulous for a young family. We were right next to the woods with a brilliant playground 2 minutes away (rated by the children as the best part of the entire holiday!) Whilst it sounds like a headache getting a bus, then the metro, it was actually very straightforward - Austrian public transport running beautifully to time. I felt that for a family with young children, having the outdoor space next door, and the leafy suburbs to wander,. The staff met us near the subway because we could not find the place on the map which was very kind of them. We lived in the huge apartment, 4 times bigger than we booked and two-level! Very good location, just in a couple of minutes from the subway, close to the center and supermarkets. The apartment is clean. Good heating. Microwave, dishwasher, washing machine. Apartment is on the edge of the city and its not suitable for frequent come-and-go to-the-center tours. Apartment is on the 3rd floor and is not suitable for older people and people with disabilities, but it was fine for us. Street is close to bedroom (the other bedroom is on the side) and in the morning if truck comes by it is noisy. But it's not too early in the morning and you are not in Vienna to sleep till noon :). Everything was good, no dislikes. Nothing major but maybe real curtains!. Quite dark as the owner has removed a lot of the lightbulbs persumably to save costs - should reinstall the lightbulbs so people can see especially in the kitchen and bathroom. Not enough hot water for the shower at certain moment. Bed uncomfortable, and poor pillows. Washing machine didn't work, but expect that to have been repaired before next visitors arrived. it is located far from the city center, but the neighborhood is great. You have to call them when you arrive. It was alittle off the beaten track involving bus/ underground journey and there was little in the immediate vicinity to walk to. The road outside was a little noisy, but not really a problem. not very clean (dusty, spiders). The washing machine made the clothes soaking wet, even putting to spin twice... The guy who gave us the key only spoke German and almost gave us the wrong room... The bed was too soft. They should let people know the address exactly. In my travel, there was a huge confusion about the map, because the map was showing the their office or something rather than the apartment. Also the real addess of the apartment was written in a sentence with small sized font. All of these made me confused, so I was wandering the city for 2 hours to find the aprtment. Finally I should take a taxi to get there. I hope it will never happen again to other travelers. We had to wait more than one hour for the owner to open the apartment. We couldn't pay by visa because the Visa machine was broken. There was no air conditioning in the apartment and the temperature in Viena during the says of our stay was around 35ºC. The hall of the building was disguising. The was no fume extraction in the kitchen.
