Herbert, Ricki and Alexander made our time in Salzburg so much more memorable. Herbert pension is a lovely accommodation with everything we could ask for and GREAT value for money. The property is only a leisurely walk to the main tourist attractions which is nice as you are away from the hustle and bustle. We honestly were made to feel like we were guests in their house not hotel. Herbert and Ricki could not do enough for us, even cooking my husband eggs every day!!! The suites were spaciou.
all reviews » Staying with Herbert and his family at their pension was one of the highlights of our 3 week trip. It was great to talk to Herbert during breakfast (and for an hour or two after...) and hear his perspective on some many things. He was able to help us create a couple of great itineraries that included things that aren't on the usual tourist trek. When we had to catch an early train to the airport in Munich on our last day, he even packed a breakfast to take along. He was a fantastic host and t. Pension Herbert was our home away from home in Salzburg. It was a quiet, cozy and extremely clean and comfortable place to stay in, with personalized service par excellence by Herbert and his wife Rikki. I loved my large, bright bathroom. The sheets were crisp and starched and the towels thick and fresh smelling. We could not ask for more!. Hotel Pension Herbert is a family owned guest house. Both Herbert and Rikki are the perfect and charming hosts, they couldn't do enough for us. It's in quite village area but only takes 10 minutes into the centre of Salzburg by trolly bus. Don't even think twice about it, You will not go wrong by staying at Pension Herbert. Herbert and family will make you feel right at home. Everything was great during our 3 day stay at the hotel. The Host was most helpful and friendly. The location just outside the city but with a frequent bus stopping right next to the hotel was ideal. Breakfast was outstanding. Hotel in a quiet area. Loved everything about this hotel so friendly their internet told exactly what is there would recommend to anyone visiting Salzburg. The host's knowledge and willingness to help organise tours. The breakfast. The room was comfortable. Ease to get into town. The location is superb, the bus stop is less than 1 minute by foot, bus runs frequently. Decent breakfast, excellent wifi. The bathrooms could do with a little investment. Nothing. Ideally, we could have been downtown. However, travel by bus from the hotel to downtown was easy, so it is not a problem. Nothing. Bring your own shampoo. main road with busy traffic, so better windows will be advantage.
