Absolutely loved this hotel! on outskirts of Salzburg but very easy to get into town via local bus -2 blks from hotel. Room was extra large and super clean. Very quiet and the views are beautiful Breakfast and restaurante facility was great; many gasthof in the neighborhood as well. Staff was exceptional with any questions. Parking is easy on site. Close to SZG airport but you'd never it.

After several nights in noisy city hotels, we were thankful for this location with mountain views from each window, away from city noise, but just a 15-minute bus ride into Salzburg from a bus stop 5 minutes away. Breakfast was bountiful and we had delicious dinners there both nights.We love the Bloberger Hof. It is what you wish all hotel experiences would be like. The family owned Bloberger is extremely clean and well maintained. The family treats you like family and are very warm and tentative to the guests. The dinners are top notch and breakfasts are too. This is a great location for drivers with an easy bus ride to Salzburg. the hotel is run by a lovley family so the services are way more than just excelent. the other very important thing which is not mentioned is the amazing austrian restaurant which operates at the evenings and will give you the best value for money with the best food around. even though the menu is not big - every thing on it is absolutly fantastic.Family members greet you upon arrival - hotel is immaculate and our room was spotless and very comfortable with fabulous view of nearby mountains - bus stop was only a short walk from hotel with easy access to Salzburg Zentrum. Restuarant was a great value with interesting and nicely prepared options on the menu. everything was absolutely perfect. Due to the great kitchen, the rooms do smell of onions/whatever is cooking at the time.There was no elevator which was ok for me but if any handycap person stays in the hotel he will face some difficulties. Minor point; check out is 11.00am but there was no problem leaving our bags until we needed to leave for our flight that night. Would have been ideal to have the option to stay later in the room. Unfortunate consequence of onlyone (late evening, Ryanair) flight to London per day...There was no air conditioning (not even fans!) with insects flyingaround. Not good for resting in summer afternoons. Evenings and nightswere better. The Internet access via WiFi was not available as in the promotion, but I havent asked for details. Trip time to the downtown by bus last 20 min. (bus stop is 100m from the hotel). There are 4 services per hour, sunday only 2 services.Our Gps had a little trouble finding the hotel but we had it set to avoid the autobahns. From our room we heard noise from the near by road. location too far from city centre.

Travelling information

By car:
Take the exit Salzburg-Süd/Grödig on the A10 motorway (not the Anif exit). Immediately after the exit turn right and drive into the village of Grödig. Having gone through Grödig, turn left and go into the village of Glanegg. There you turn right onto Moosstraße at the yellow-flashing traffic light. After about 1 km turn left onto Hammerauer Straße, where Bloberger Hof is located.

Take the exit Salzburg Mitte and drive towards the city centre for about 2,5 km. At the sixth traffic light, turn right onto Rudolf-Bibel-Straße (on the left side of the crossroads there is a chemist's). Continue on this street for about 8 km (Moosstraße in the direction of Untersberg). At the yellow-flashing traffic light turn right onto Hammerauer Straße, where Bloberger Hof is located.

By train:
From Salzburg's main train station, take bus lines 1 or 2 to the old town and then change to bus line 21. Use this line to go to Hammerauer Straße, where Bloberger Hof is located.

By plane:
From Salzburg Airport take bus line 2 to the old town and then change to bus line 21. Use this line to go to Hammerauer Straße, where Bloberger Hof is located.
