  Almost everything about this hotel was fantastic. The small and very picturesque town of Durnstein can get crowded with tourists during the day but the hotel is set apart and is very peaceful. Our lovely bedroom overlooked the beautiful garden and swimming pool. Breakfasts were very good with an excellent choice of food. The staff were very nice and we must make a special mention of our very friendly and enthusiastic cham - We had an enjoyable stay at this charming hotel amidst a quite and peaceful town. It is a very good location for touring and enjoying the Danube.

  very pleasant staff, beautiful hotel, lovely spacious room - It probably is one of the best hotels whithin the Wachau region, very well located, opposite the Danube river. The bedroom was spacious and furnished tastefully, including a bathroom and separate toilets. Breakfast was excellent and the staff was very helpful and kind.
