This is a fabulous place to stay. We received a warm welcome, the modern swimming pool/guest relaxation area is superb, the evening meal was enjoyed on the terrace and it was greatly appreciated having fluffy, new towels. The rooms are of a classic design but comfortable and we even had a balcony to relax on. -

A smaller Family run Hotel with old world charm and modern conveniences. The owner was welcoming and very helpful. The food is outstanding in the Restaurant. Wonderful breakfast with a romantic view of the lake. Wished we could have spent more time there.

Having read many reviews beforehand, it is known that the hotel itself is not in the Hallstatt downtown and does not have a lake view. However, it is strategically located: 1) very near the bus stop and downtown, yet without all the noise; 2) roads to the hotel are flat, no problems for people towing luggages; 3) has a carpark; 4) virtually beside the saltmine cable station and near a waterfall.
