Hotels near Prater

I was very pleased with Hotel Crystal! During Easter my family traveled around Europe so we had to search for good value hotels. I soon realized that hotels in Vienna were quite expensive when compared to Prague, for example. In the end I chose Hotel Crystal because of the price I have to say.... But I wasnt disappointed. We staid in a huge room with two double beds and plenty of extra space. For 4 people the room was perfect! The breakfast was also very good.Another plus is the patio where you - Michelle

The hotel is close to the train station which is directly linked to Airport and also on the main metro line into the city centre and also close to the city theme park. The room was quiet, clean with mini bar and very clean bathroom. Breakfast was very good, especially the coffee machine! Very pleased with our choice. I would have given higher score for value, if Sterling wasnt so cheap against Euro. - Howard

The Nordbaun Hotel, now operating under a new name, but with the same charming and hospitable management, has been my hotel of choice when traveling to Vienna for over 20 years. In the US we would call this a boutique hotel .. the hotel has a variety of room sizes and configurations--and all are clean and comfortable with wonderful down comforters in crisp cotton duvets. The reception staff is absolutely wonderful...they are glad to assist with tours, metro tickets, suggestions for restaurants.. - Bush

We arrived here at 1.00 in the morning after a delayed train ride from Venice. The hotel is a typical City Hotel with that extra something. The Staff was extremely helpful and was always keen to help the guests. They even went online to find out train and bus times for some of our journeys and guided us to attractions. The reception really functions as a toursit office..! which was a pleasant experience. We stayed in a Deluxe room on the top floor which also had velux windows and a dormer - Peter

A good reasonably priced hotel. Not far out of City centre. Only 2 U-bahn stops from the Airport bus(the CAT) station and 2 from the main Congress Centre. Within sight of The Prater Gardens. Restaurant adequate for a casual,quick meal. - Penny

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights for our 7th Wedding Anniversary. It was lovely! We had a Superior room and it was huge and had the most comfortable bed we have EVER had in a hotel! The bathroom was practically as big as the room but had no bathtub which would have been nice after a hard evening's ice-skating at the Rathaus (WienEisTraum - open from end of Jan to beginning of March - FANTASTIC fun!!). An excellent experience. Breakfast is ok and the restaurant personnel attentive (when you arrive in the restaurant, is not necessary to bag for a coffee, a waitress come and ask you immediately). The rooms are new, but the glass door at WC (not hermetic close) makes impossible to go there with work colleagues or your girl friend in the first 6 moths… J The place is quiet and near Prater and subway station (Messe Prater). - Richard

Was here 3 years ago with clients. I booked the hotel because of a very fair price and for being very close to transportation and only few minutes to the city centre. The hotel is unique with all different rooms. You could say it is "over the top" but my clients loved it and so did my family that was with me. The manager of the hotel might seem a little reserved, but after a few talks he turns out to be a very pleasant person. The day of departure he even invited my family to join his - Sara

Vienna hotel is great if you want a safe and clean budget hotel in the centre of Athens. The hotel staff were very friendly and showed us where all the interesting sites were on a map. The area around the hotel is a bit dodgy at night. Lots of homeless people and men on their own hanging around. Fine during the day though. - Graham

I stayed in this hotel 3 times and all are a great deal. better than most of the other suithotels in EU, few steps to metro, clean, secure, helpfull staf. Great deal for that rate. Ideal for families up to 4 people. - Anne

friendly staff, spacious and clean room, good location with Ubahn station in front of the hotel, great and excellent breakfast, for every taste, people who dare to moan about this breakfast are terrible people. we stayed at this hotel for 8 nights. - Tina

Breakfast was great with about everything European on the buffet and included in the price of the room. Large room and large bathroom. Shower was a challenge, but it felt good! Was the staff teasing or were they strange, we never did figure out, but they were interesting. Maybe they were just tired of dumb questions from tourists! It is about 4 blocks from the underground and maybe 5 to the tram, but it was a nice walk. The neighborhood is not upscale and the inhabitants are immigrant middle - Shirley

The rooms are very comfortable and very clean. The moment you arrive to the reception desk you feel welcomed. The staff is very friendly and the services are excellent. Thge breakfast is great. There are many shops and restaurants close. There are also several bus stops very close running to different places of the City. All in all, staying at this Hotel is highly recommended and good value for money. - Elaine
