This wascour second stay and our room was much better than the first visit. The bathroom was much cleaner this time with new looking grouting and the orientation of the bed in relation to the bathroom was better as well. The whole town of Yass just seemed a lovely place - a little oasis.. The staff at Yass Motel were friendly and efficiently - just what you'd like to think all establishments would be like... Peaceful night sleep.
all reviews » The staff was very friendly and helpful and whilst a little way out of Yass town centre it was a comfortable walk if you wished to do so. The motel was ina quiet location. I was impressed with it's cleanliness . Nice spacious rooms, friendly staff. Allthough it's located on the main road we did not hear any traffic at night. 10 mins walking distance from town center, you pass the beautiful park on the way. Really happy to stay at this motel...I combine work with visiting family so it works well for me.. excellent value...lovely staff...thanks. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was cosy and welcoming and the streaks were superb. The fact that it had it's own restaurant so that after a long drive we did not have to go looking for one. Really excellent motel..great value..lovely owners..has everything you need..have stayed several times. Location ideal for breaking up the trip to Sydney. Location,swimingpool across the road.Walking distance to shops,restaurants.Quiet. I liked the bathroom and the facilities provided. just motel nothing much. Close to Yass CBD. nothing really. Free wi fi. My husband was disappointed that there was no pavlova for dessert! But the staff offered to make some for him next time we stay if we call ahead of our arrival. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing to report. Couch (which doubled as a pull-out bed) had sitting pads much to soft to sit on for relaxing and watching TV - should have more suitable fillings, as chairs in the room were not designed for relaxing. The roads are a bit rough. It would not hurt the council to do something about it. Room was supposedly refurbished, but didn't look it. The bathroom needed an overhaul. Smokers allowed on verandah. nothing. nothing. Shower facility is in a bath which is high and needs gab rails so you dont slip - WHS issue. The room was very small. In my opinion the room size was unusually small for a double room. There were no cups or saucers at the tea making facilities. The hot water in the shower kept turning from hot to cold. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. Painters arrived at 7am outside and behaved as painters do all over the world & talked loudly about things which were v important to them, but would bore the av person to contemplate suicide. Plastic curtain in shower is a minor nuisance. I did not like the bed! It was like a trampoline I got no sleep at all and I didn't like the fact that there was a used shampoo bottle in the shower that had been overlooked by the cleaners. Restaurant was closed by 8.00pm. The room felt damp and Not that clean.Staff were unable to advise we're we might get a meal in Yass at 8.15pm. Not very helpful. dirty, smelly rooms chipped bath motel full of noisy mine workers, yelling, swearing and drinking wine out of the bottle until after 10p.m. We were giving a tiny room next to the industrial laundry, we booked this room months ago so we feel we should have been given a decent room. We had a cockroach run across the bed so insisted on a different room. We were given a bigger room by the son of the owner away from the laundry. The owner wasn't happy that we had a more expensive room. I wouldn't stay here again as the owner wasn't very friendly and the rooms were too small and shabby. Dirty stained furniture blood on the wall behind bed.
