The Aston Motel is right at the top of the three star range. It's comfortable, the rooms are spacious, the pool is a generous size and very pleasant. The staff are helpful and friendly and, while the motel is well placed for town, it's in a very quiet position. The Aston is everything we want in a motel. And more. This is a lovely motor inn made more so by the welcoming hosts. Just down the street from all the action, you can easily walk to the shops and restaurants located on the main road. The pool area is very nice - with plenty of shade for those really hot days. Would definitely recommend this B&B for your stay in Yamba.
all reviews » The accommodation was clean and the bedroom/living room spacious. The owner/manager was friendly and helpful and made my husband and I feel welcome. The location is quiet and within handy walking distance of a number of facilities. It is well sign posted and easy to find if unfamiliar with the town. Great location, short walk to restaurants, shops and beach. Good sized room, comfy king sized bed, clean! Friendly managers. We took advantage of the breakfast promotion and enjoyed perfect poached eggs daily!. The motel complex was well maintained and the room spacious and well equipped. The lady at reception was very helpful and the room rate included access to the gym next door which was a real bonus. The owners were fabulous. Friendly, helpful, and gave us great tips about things to do and where to eat. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Highly recommended. The facilities of the motel were in excellent condition and the cleanliness was outstanding. We picked this motel because of its quiet location and were not disappointed. Made our stay pleasureable. Friendly helpful owners. Clean and tidy. yamba itself. What's not to like?. The bathroom is a little small, made smaller by an inward opening door as opposed to a sliding door. However, this was only a minor issue and did not cause any inconvenience. I couldn't really fault anything!. Photos showed the pool but it was unusable. Dirty and leafy. Our room was by the trees and bush at the edge of the gardens and was alive with mosquitoes, we were both bitten and had to run back and forth to the car to stop them getting in the car or the room. Could not sit ouside in the garden for the same reason. Need a couple of plates so you can use the microwave. Walls are thin, could hear people next door and above talking, coughing and using the bathroom. We had a very noisy family next too us who constantly slamed doors which was extremely annoying- luckily they only stayed one night. Nil. No glass allowed at the BBQ Area. Fridge shuts off when leaving room. Nothing. Pool could have been cleaner. pool could have breen cleaner.
