  The staff are always friendly and welcoming and very helpful. Mercure Townsville has a lovely feel to it with its well maintained gardens and pool area. We don't feel like we have to stay indoors, there are many places to enjoy in the grounds which makes our stay more enjoyable. - The deluxe king room was spacious with a balcony.   Clean and comfortable. I very much liked that they caterered very well for smokers with facilities outside each room with nice little table and chairs. We did enjoy this, it also provided an opportunity to socialise with other motel guests. Very nice touch. - The cleanliness, and the staff were so friendly!   We booked 2 apartments for our family, young adlts in one apartment and adults with small children in the other. We were placed next door to each other which made it fantastically easy to go from one to the other. Both apartments were great, if we viit Townsville again we'll definitely stay there again. o eay to walk to the beach, to the shops, to... what people say » the supermarket and even easier to the private pool which was quiet and simply perfect. - Checking in late and not having to pay till the morning was a Godsend, especially with small children. Being so close to the Strand and the water park was the biggest selling point for us. The apartment was very roomy. Free Access to Strand Fitness was excellent
