Great short stay for business and very cost effective including a continental brekkie. Could be a great place in warmer weather with the grassed area with direct access from units. Family run. Owner is quite a card and Dam good cook. Room was clean and comfortable. Overall I would gladly stay again. convenient location, close to highway, quiet locality. access will be better when road construction completed.

Quite, clean, friendly, great for me (22yrs) and younger brother(11yrs) for couple nights. They provide Dinner which was amazing. Best Schnitzel and home cooked meal I've had. Room looks out onto grassed courtyard, where we enjoyed morning coffee. The friendliness of the owners; the old world charm of the motel. Cleanliness, privacy and close proximity to Sale. It was cosy and friendly & quiet. Good value & a pleasant host. Relaxing surrounding Cleanliness. Hospitality. So friendly. very quiet. The garden surrounds were very nice & the staff friendly. The bed was comfortable & facilities clean. The position of the motel was good - it was in a quiet area. Inexpensive, comfortable beds, decent sized bathroom, adequate mirrors; we just needed a bed for the night & a decent shower and it met these needs. That we were greated and phoned , because of the lateness of our arrival. The host was lovely and the gardens were maintained. Owners very friendly. Friendly service. friendly. Not much. Leaving. Tiny vase of fresh flowers on coffee table. Nothing. Could do with a slight makeover, as the 50s - 60s décor can get a bit scary when first arriving. Nothing. property dated, needs upgrade, but offers value for budget traveller. Staff very abrupt when we arrived before 2.00pm. Basically told to go away. No control of overspray from shower into bathroom. nothing. Water pressure in shower. Toilet flushing not working properly Small heater not very adequate on a cold night. Housekeeping. Shower. Dated and smell old. Shower pointed straight into face (could not adjust). For a stay in winter, heating was an issue. It took over 20 minutes to check in even though we were the only customers at reception and we booked several weeks ahead which is frustrating after 8 hours driving; the carpet was heavily stained and the included continental breakfast was bread & condiments and a bowl of cereal with no fresh milk and no juices or yoghurt provided which was requested on the menu; the room needs to be refurbished as very old. there were three of us and there was only two cups etc and not enough tea bags , no knives were supplied for our toast , so we had to use a spoon. This motel is in need of a serious renovation . Seems like time has stood still since the 80s. Everything was sooo old. Shower very little water could not keep even temp choice of food restaurant only two choices main as I was the only one eating I guess this explains this but does not match advertising. heating that couldn't be used if the kettle was on!. The wiring I feel needs to be attended to, you shouldn't have to turn the heater/ conditioner off to use the kettle. The 70's want their hotel back. ( needs renovation). I woke up itching. Out door setting need to be replaced. The locks need to be fixed, it took a while to unlock the door. Bathroom show curtain was rather disgusting Power point for fridge is in the cupboard. Hotel needs to be demolished. It is in very poor condition and badly outdated.To be honest My wife and I have traveled a fair bit in and outside Australia and have never been in a worse room, which includes budget accommodation. Too many to list really. Very old. Totally outdated facilities. Dirty - no attention to detail. Poor first impression of property and room. Etc. etc. etc. Everything.

Please not that due to construction of the new highway, Captains Lodge International is now located on the corner of Fisk Street and Wurruk Way. Please note that office hours are 14:00 until 21:00 during summer months and 14:00 until 20:00 during winter months. If you expect to arrive outside reception opening hours, please inform the property in advance, using the contact details found on the booking confirmation.

Captain ‘s Lodge International and VIP Restaurant is situated in Sale the Gateway to the picturesque Region of Gippsland, directly on the Princes Highway. Travelling between Sydney/Canberra and Melbourne, Sale is located 200 km East of Melbourne. Gippsland is renowned for its beautiful beaches, the South Pacific Ocean, picturesque lakes and National Parks with their fascinating Flora and Fauna, the High Country as well as its gourmet foods and fine wines.
