Hotel Marengo is just one of the best value for money accommodations along the Great Ocean Road. We booked in the very last minute, in a try to ensure good weather for the trip, and actually, we did it right, not only with the weather, but with our choice for stay one night. I stayed at the 2 room apartment, actually a semi-detached house, single story. Very nice and the lovely host had put us in the 'apartment' with space for car park right in front of the door. We have a cosy backyard and access to the swimming pool. Very convenient with Coles supermarket about 3 minutes drive and it closed at 12 midnight. -

Friendly Staff remembered our names and thanked us for staying.
We phoned to say we were running late. They went and put the air conditioner in room so it wouldn't be freezing when we arrived.
On leaving we stated we would stay again. Room was clean, of a good standard and very reasonably priced. -

Comfy and clean room. In fact, spa room is the best one I ever seen in motels. Pool and outdoor area adds up to relaxing atmosphere. Would be ideal for romantic getaway. Love the place. It was like home away from home. Dale made us feel at home, even introduced us to his family. The full fledged kitchen enabled us to quickly cook-up a meal.

The cottage was excellent. Having older boys we were able to give them the run of upstairs and we had the downstairs room. The cottage was well decorated and the deck was lovely. We had a fantastic view of the lagoon. The pool looked great but it was a bit too cold to go in. The games room was fun. -
