The appartment is furnished and finished to a very high standard and was very well equipped. A large private patio area next to the pool was great for relaxing at the end of a day. Very close to the beach and a reasonable walk to the restaurants and shops in town. Very friendly and helpful staff. Convenient underground parking. Highly recommended, would return if we're in the area again!.
all reviews » What a beautiful holiday we had at Mandalay. The appartment was spacious and well equipt and the outdoor area with sun lounges is a perfect way to spend an afternoon. Staff were amazing and ever so helpful and its beachside location was ideal for a little peace and quiet. Loved Milo!!! He was awesome! Loved the accommodation, the staff were awesome, loved the pool, location to the beach and privacy of accommodation and to the town - loved it all! Can't wait to get back to PD! Thoroughly recommend Mandalay to anyone going to PD!. Very spacious and clean accommodations. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Best apartments ever stayed in. The rooms were immaculate. Size of apts 3 tv sets. Nothing to dislike!. Gardens around the appartment were very overgrown and jungle like -these could be cut way back. The pool was lovely however lots of bugs and flys made it uncomfortable to swim in. Zinc Restaurant. Wish there was a view of the ocean. Property is set back behind trees, so no ocean views. The steps. Nothing. Could have done with some more provisions in the apartment to cover length of our stay (replenishments of soap etc., some provision of the basics - cooking oil, salt, pepper etc. would make it a more complete service). Double bed was not particularly comfortable (lumpy). would have preferred more servicing of apartments. once a week is not enough we thought beach towels were included otherwise we would have taken our own. Nothing, it was great. some maintenance issues in the apartment which were mostly fixed when requested - should have already been noted by cleaners. No oven mit. A few more sharp knives would be good also. Charging for tennis rackets and beach towels and not supplying enough dishwasher and laundry detergent sachets for the week seems stingy considering the cost of staying. Should be absorbed into the cost of the accommodation - more in keeping with a "luxury" resort. Some upkeep required to room facilities. Noisy - an hour of a dust blower outside your room really starts to grate - use a broom! Noisy - stomp stomp on the ceiling early in the morning when you are having a lie-in - not nice! Noisy - lots of young families. Would like more privacy and seclusion. Make sure you ask for a room away from the pool unless you love the 'sound' of kids. Pay-TV - some channels badly snowbound. Lounge - worn and stained. No toilet near pool. Pool was far too warm Would like towels refreshed. Main bed was a little uncomfortable. Some appliances in need of upgrade / replacement. would have liked salt and pepper and a few basics like plastic wrap or tinfoil in the kitchen. The rooms weren't cleaned so well when we arrived. Not having an American coffe maker!. Stairs. Room was not ready when we areived and being a short stay it really took up time that could have been otherwise spent enjoying the trip. However we got upgraded to another room. Noise from pool. Wifi should be complimentary considering the price for the room.

3. Turn right at Captain Cook Hwy (set of traffic lights)
Go through 9 roundabouts (Cairns Northern Beaches) after these round abouts, follow the road for aproximatley 40 minutes.
4. Turn right at Port Douglas Rd (well signed posted)
Go through 3 roundabouts
5. Turn right at Blake St
6. Turn left at Garrick St, and we are no the next corner on your right.
