Concierge service. Particularly a gentleman named Alain who was always so hospitable, friendly and went out of his way to ensure everything was great for our stay. Enjoyed the valet service. I forgot my wallet with all my money and cards in it and it was found be Concierge exactly where I thought I left it. all reviews » The views from our room were fantastic especially with the rough weather. Bed was one of the most comfortable we have slept in in perth and we have been to a lot of the hotels in perth . Gym was good and great to have a laundry and not pay a fortune, also loved the bathroom which was a great size for 2 and lots of counter space and shower was great. Food was very good and continental breakfast was very good as was the price.good location for us good small bars and cafe's , great beach. Overall. The hotel has a good location close to the beach, with plenty of parking space. They are renovating some parts, the new restaurant looks modern and nice. The room was beautiful, spacious and with sea views. Good sleep quality. From the balcony you could also see the lagoon pool. There is a small, but well equipped gym. The staff were professional and friendly. The concierge Adam was very very good, he had a great sense of humour and was very professional as were the booking girls. The food was fantastic and room service was so nice and very punctual considering they were so busy. Thank you we had a great stay and will return soon. I like the rooms and the ocean view . people working there are quite nice as well. this hotel has always been the hotel we love. I wish I could afford to go there more. this hotel was the hotel I stayed in for 5 days when I got married years ago. and have gone to on different occasions. Great location next to the beach and good surf up the coast. Spacious modern rooms with very comfy bed and a nice view to the sea. Hotel being modernized with a 4/5* look but some building work in the lobby which wasn't an issue. Great Indian restaurant round the corner. we love the rooms there a good size there clean and look great, there value for money which is what we were looking for, we been about 5 times now and will be cuming again very soon and would recommend this hotel to all our friends and family :). The views, the layout, the location, the reception desk was helpful and when we told the lady at reception the shower was taped up and water going everywhere and getting blocked also, it was fixed straight away. Buses right outside hotel. I stayed here before setting off travelling to meet friends and it was a wonderful start to my stay, did not want to leave. Pool is heated & the pool area is great. Lots of restaurants around & only a 15 minute drive into the.city. Rooms are large & very comfortable. Very relaxing break. We stayed in the club rooms, they were very nice. The view from the club lounge was amazing, and the service in the club lounge was exceptional! We also had dinner in the Straits restaurant and the food and service was great!. i liked the clean rooms atmosphere and king size bed i liked the location and view. we stayed there last yr and is was dirty and unkempt but after giving it another shot after refurbishmnts we were very pleased. The hotel staff were excellent and extremely friendly. The updated rooms were great with all amenities. The location is superb and Scarborough is a good centre for visiting the area. I really enjoyed the new furnishings in the Club Room we stayed in, the view was gorgeous from the top floor and the movie package meant we could relax all night for an affordable price - which we loved. In spite of the renovations taking place the hotel was very clean, staff were helpful and friendly. The temporary signage helped prevent me from getting list! Meals were great. We liked that it was within easy access of the highway and the airport and that parking was included in the roomrate. My grumpy attitude on my arrival, nothing to do with the staff but so fortunate the staff were professional, patient and courteous. A few noisy guest's Saturday night as there was a wedding n they kept slamming doors till the wee hours . Think they could get staff to vacuum around the lift area 's that are frequented a lot and the passage ways and to keep the areas that the public use and see every day including outside the front doors where rubbish is blown in. It makes a big difference to first impressions . Staff was not really interested in their customers, the lady at check out was really unfriendly and even a bit arrogant. Would have been a lot nicer if she had tried to have a civil conversation or asked if we had enjoyed our stay. She only asked for credit card. the weather was a bit off otherwise nothing. At the service desk I asked them a question about the dusty tables in underground parking twice and both times I gave room number as well as mobile number. they never got back to me or got maintenance guy to ring me as they said they would. Some limited construction work in the lobby and some lifts being serviced when we stayed. there is nothing I didn't like all good :). No chairs on the balcony. I had to pull the computer chair out there. It would have been good to have somewhere to sit with a glass of wine and watch the sunset. Our room was made up around 4pm one day! Also an unpleasant smell in our room , however when we stayed at hotel before we couldn't fault the room we had. Nothing!. The restaurant on site is very expensive - charging $8 per serving of vegetable - so we ate at restaurants close by. The construction work nearby was quite noisy from early morning but hopefully this is near completion. For 2 nights had neighbors who played loud music which vibrated through the wall until 5am. Security was called on several occasions and did simply nothing to rectify the problem. Visitors to the executive club not kept to dress code. Food at the executive club monotonous. The heated pool was usually freezing cold. Room service was tardy. Some of the front desk people did not know their job. The lift to the carpark was spookily disfunctional. The other one did not work at all. Weekend activities over the road were thunderously loud for many hours. They tried to bill me for GST twice on the same bill - but eventually sorted. My stay was pretty much ruined at the end by the fact that the concierge double charged me for the room - when I asked him he assured me the first amount had not been taken from my account, it had - and I spent a day trying to resurrect the problem and three days $300 down. I was very satisfied. none. Getting a bit dated. The cocktails were seriously overpriced. The $52 steak came out well done, but asked for medium. It would have been cool to have a music channel in the room. Front counter staff could have been more welcoming. Unfortunately, the hotel is in the middle of massive renovations so scaffolding and sheeting everywhere, makes it harder to get around and is not aesthetically pleasing. Obviously, we are aware this isn't permanent, just didn't realise the works would be so extensive at time of booking. Refurbishment causing difficulties with access to parking, lifts. Interruption to power supply from 8am to 1.30pm on 18/5/13 (there was prior notice from management, but inconvenient nevertheless) Lack of seating on balcony. construction work was noisy, and areas was messy. Entrance old and worn Rooms noise came thru doors two glasses provide in room for a drink and were different to each other. The bed head was dusty and the mattress is definitely in need of replacement. Although the bathroom was very clean, it needs to be renovated as the bath and shower look a bit tired. Reception staff could be better. Efficient but very slow to attend to customers. breakfast is a bit overprised. It's good, but too pricy. Noisy airconditioning, uncomfortable pillows (very high)- they did change on our request, construction work a little annoying in carpark and entrances. No balcony furniture. Only one room key for 2 people. They really don't offer a shuttle bus to Perth centre - we were told it only runs once a day, at 7.30am, to Perth CBD and we had to pre-book. We tried to pre-book and they had no driver ......... Said I would have a shower over bath but there was no bath. When I called down they didn't get back to me. Food nice but lacked seasoning. Staff very friendly apart from reception. Not ramp to wheel suitcases in n out of main entrance, this definitely needs to be sorted ASAP. The hotel is doing some renovations so it was a little difficult getting to the car park and our TV reception was not to good but they had advised us of this as soon as we arrived so all good. food in coffee bar average need more grainy bread at breakfast. Would have prefered a room which did not look over west coast hwy. Wasn't aware of a security bond we had to pay because we were paying via eftpos. In room dining menu needed more choices. We still found on second visit there was a serious lack of information given about facilities, restaurants, procedures etc. A very confusing place to stay. Also no info about area and things to do. Not enough sunchairs in the pool area. Well they are renovating so that wasn't great but there is nothing u can do about that. Renovations. Staff where efficient but could have been a bit more friendly. Nothing. Parking fee for hotel guests. only one issue the mattress was not the best and gave me a very sore back could feel the springs in the side. not applicable.

These works are expected to be completed by 2018.
