car parking, parked car in an under ground car park around the corner at 6 pm sat and returned to pick the car up at 930am Sunday morning and it cost $48, I understand this isnt at your control but it is a considerable addition to the cost of accomodation,

The room was so noisy that I didn't sleep a wink! I specifically request a quite room- instead I was subjected to a motor running all night with a fan kicking in every few minutes just outside my window. Horrendous!

the modern approach to their marketing. All charges, happy hour, minibar. goodies, coffee machine, cakes etc for breakfast - all free even though you know it is built into the price, the approach is superb. Decor is modern and comfortable.

I loved the modern design of the hotel, the free wifi, bfast, minibar and even the slippers! The location is absolutely central and within walking distances to everything.

Can be a little noisy in the mornings during deliveries, as the hotel is situated in Chinatown, however nothing too loud.

Great location near restaurants. You can walk to practically all sites of interest. Nicely decorated. It's more an appartment than a hotel. It feels very cozy and you have free water, juices, tea, coffee available in lobby & in your room. In the morning you have free & excellent pastries. Staff is very helpful. Exceptional little hotel.

You might be awakened by the sound of garbage trucks early in the morning. That's the only negative point.

Great service and staff - top class and really friendly. Extras of unlimited mini bar and the pastries in the morning was unique and a nice touch

Not the cleanest of hotels we have stayed at. The rug had stains and dirt marks while the walls were scratched and our draw with the safe in it didn't stay closed at it was fitted properly

This is a great little hotel!!! We had a 1 bedroom suite, the extra bit of space was great! Staff are wonderful, so friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The free mini bar and breakfast pastries were a treat. They also organised a late checkout for us as we had a night time flight.

The noise - because this isn't a high rise building u can hear all the noise from outside. Not good if you're a light sleeper. Also, the bathroom could do with either a fan or a window that opens as there was a constant smell of damp coming from it.

Excellent accommodation with excellent value for money!!

One staff member declined our request for a glass of wine ( which was explained, but was offered to us the previous evening). When staying for longer than one night replenishing the toiletries & the goodie bag would be appreciated!!

The Ovolo Hotel was wonderful! Friendly helpful staff and generous spirit (free wi-fi, mini bar and even a goodie bag!) it was like staying with friends- comfy beds & pillows, clean bathroom with lots of product. I'll definitely stay there again & I'm recommending it to my friends :)

loved the FREE MINIBAR, LOOT BAG and grab and go breakfasts with coffee at reception. The idea of Happy hour was good! Also the amenities in the rooms were amazing quality and very luxurious. The availability of free wifi & Apple TV was great as well

A little bit of a trek from the heart of Melbourne CBD. Variety in the breakfasts would have been nice as well. Yummy pastries, but some days the same variety got a bit much!

Modern, new twist on real hospitality, built in treats and 'free' breakfast, wifi, bar etc.....all hospitable. Great diversity of clientele. No waste space, yet the room was spacious enough and had great storage, bed etc.

The shelf over the tiny basin does make it tricky to wash face, clean teeth.

The customer services was exceptional. The free wifi, bar fridge, morning coffee with danishes and then evening drinks is such a great touch. It really adds to the value for money and service orientated feeling. The decor was very modern and the rain shower was awesome.

The bed, for me personally was too soft, but that would not stop me returning. The room sounded like it backed onto a commercial kitchen so it was a bit noisey, however we were on Level 1 in Melbourne's CBD, and the noise did stop by 11:30pm

Great intro & greeting very friendly & helpful front desk.

Only a small issue but detail is important. I left a handwritten note suggesting the toilet roll holder is loose & flimsy. Simply get the right tool & tighten it. In both rooms the safe drawer slides open simply fix the problem.

Matt at the front desk was a truly wonderful host! No request, big or small, was a problem for him, and he helped us navigate a fabulous trip around this beautiful, fun, delicious city. We will definitely go back to Melbourne, and when we do, Ovolo will be our home again. Thanks, Matt!

Excellent \lLocation. Free Wiifii. Free Mini Bar. Great coffee and breakfast. Late checkout and helpful staff. Great personal touches such as the slippers and free back back. Light years ahead of the stock standard Australian Hotel.

The furniture was a little worn/damaged but this was not the hotel's fault. It can be attributed to inconsiderate past guests.

The location of the hotel is very handy. Having the use of laundry facilities is very convenient. The room is spacious despite its advertised size of 18sqm. The decor is relaxing. Love the added extras of Apple TV, I was able to relax and watch movies from my ipad on the big TV screen, great!

The sound proofing wasn't great. The kid next door was playing up during early evening and that was a bit distracting. Also I could hear sound of the shower or toilet flushing. The size of the wash basin was tiny.

While the hotel was rather expensive for the three nights we stayed.. It was value for money. The free mini bar topped up everyday was wonderful, as was the free espresso coffee and pastries for breakfast . The suite was very comfortable and conveniently located

The majority of the staff were snobby and not very friendly. Most interactions felt awkward like theyd rather be doing anything else. James was the exception. He was very nice and genuine. He always had a smile on his face and was very helpful

The room was spacious and clean. I really liked the idea of free minibar and free wifi which most hotels don't provide. The coffee machine down at the reception is good when you want coffee on the go. I would certainly stay at Ovolo again :)
