So friendly. my first time at a backpackers and it will certainly not be my last. staff were friendly and helpful. it was such a relaxed atmosphere that I wish I had got to stay longer. it's in a great location and has free wifi , laundry service, kitchen facilities. I am already planning on staying there next time I'm in oz. Very friendly and helpful staff (free upgrade to triple room although we only booked for double!), cozy and comfortable lobby, clean and comfortable room, well maintained facilities, free laundry, internet terminals, wifi and more services, great value for the money paid.

This is really a honest address, I would like all the backpacker will be like this one!!. The place was very welcoming and cosy, the staff and facilities were great. It was a lovely break and would recommend this place to everyone. The rooms were spacious and clean. There was free Internet, washing and pool. I loved the open fire. Really great staff, gave us plenty of tips for things to see/do in Katoomba. Spacious clean room. Clean bathrooms. The hostel was fairly busy when we were there but we couldn't hear any of the noise in our room. The hostel was clean and tidy. Bathroom was a big size and sheets were warm. Would recommend this hostel to everyone! The location was fabulous too, close to echo point and scenic world. A very relaxed atmosphere. Free wifi, free laundry, cooking facilities! If you wanted a hot shower you had to have one outside peak time . Wasn't fussed about having to strip the beds ourselves on checkout. I suppose it helps reduce costs. mattress somewhat uncomfortable...although I swapped for the 2nd night which was much better. Not that much cutlery/ kitchenware available when hostel is busy. Hot water for bathing is not really hot, only "warm". Only one toilet and shower close to the room we stayed in. The computers were way too slow. Can't receive the wifi from the room. Poor ventilation in the room except for the window. Need more places to hang clothes in the room. Bathrooms had no windows. Cold in common areas. Wi-Fi速度慢得不行. Our room was directly above the smoking/BBQ area. The smoke got into our room late into the night and we were unable to leave the windows open. Rooms should be smoke-free. Hot water only ran lukewarm, and it was 5C outside making for a very unhappy shower. Place was pretty cold inside, maybe because windows were opened for painting which didn't help. Sound carried up the stairs easily, though all was quiet by 10:30pm. Will probably pay an extra $10 and get a motel room down the road next time. Carpet is smelly. Very poorly equipped kitchen which encouraged lack of cleanliness. Impossible to shower without flooding bathroom Hanging space in our room but no hangers. It was extremely noisy the night I stayed - all night. It was after hours, so no one was at reception. I did not feel safe to go and ask the noisy guests to be quiet. The room smelt very dank and mouldy. Mattress could have been more comfortable. Shower was luke warm. Wet toilet floor in commul area... Leaking pipes... The plaster was lifting away from the walls. The single bulb in the room made a huge racket and couldn't be kept on too long as we feared it would start a fire. the bathrooms were extremely unwelcoming, dirty, they smelt of cigarette smoke as they were centimetres away from the smoko room, the taps and shower head were extremely old and there was mould growing on the ceiling. the heater is poor. It's so cold, but the heater is not warm enough.
